Full roster was leaked this morning due to Capcom borking up the HTML on their site. Remaining characters are Zero, Frank West, Yatterman 2, and Joe the Condor. No Speedy... at least, not until the sequel.

As for Zero, you have to wonder if Capcom's gonna use the MegaMan Zero version (used in the Capcom vs. SNK Series) or the long-awaited MegaMan X Version.

Uh...counting the confirmed Tekkaman Blade...that's five characters. While it was stated that it was going to be five characters at one point, it was restated to four.

Not that this makes the Pizza Cats chances any higher, but still, something is wrong here.

You may be right. Of course, one of the guys at the Capcom-Unity may have a feeling that the leak was purposely created by Capcom to throw us off, in hopes that the REAL Newcomers will show up, and one of them MIGHT as well be Speedy Cerviche! And if what I speculate turns out to be TRUE, then we'll all probably say "The Leak is a Lie!"

That'd be nice if at the very least it meant we could get Joe the Condor out of there (Look, we already have Ken and Jun, we do NOT need a third Gatchaman character), but this video of Frank West gameplay confirms the sloppiness of that one site's coding.

Who would you rather have, replacing Yatterman-2 and Joe the Condor, Speedy Cerviche and Bad Bird (Who uses Ninja Crows to do his dirty work)?

Actually, I'd keep Yatterman No. 2 and kick Joe in place of...well..ANYONE (Though Speedy is always welcome XD). She fights with some kind of electric baton, last I saw, so she wouldn't necessarily be a clone of Yatterman No. 1.

As I said, three Gatchaman characters is too much. Ryu, Chun-Li, and Alex get away with this by being representatives of three different Street Fighter series-es, Ryu representing the very first game, Chun-Li II, and Alex III. And while Doronjo is from Yatterman herself, she can also be pegged into representing the Time Bokkan series on the whole, as I'm told that the three bumbling villains from all the series-es are actually Doronjo's gang, just under a new alias.

Don't ask me how that works, but it works.

I'm well aware that Gatchaman is prolly THE head Tatsunoko program, but I'm slightly disappointed with their selection for the UAS new characters if they're just going to add characters from series-es that have already been established by earlier additions to the roster instead of anyone from different shows.

It's only to save money on any MORE additional licences. And incidentally, Joe the Condor and Yatterman-2 were on that list of considered fighters. And IF Capcom were to contact Disney about the Samurai Pizza Cats, maybe Capcom could also talk Disney into letting them release those Classic NES and SNES Titles on Virtual Console. You know, the Capcom-Disney Games.

So, it's looking like there are no cats in this game? OK. Fine. Lets get some good news out of this.

• Tatsunoko are, at the very least interested in using past works in a new form.
• http://tatsunoko.vscapcom.com/ has at the bottom of the page both Tatsunoko and SOTSU, so there is no issue in getting those two companies together with Capcom
• Hey, it got people talking about Pizza Cats for a while
• Disney (Well, BVS Entertainment, Inc. and BVS International N. V.) lose some kind of control over SPC circa November 2010, so it won't be long before we can forget about them.

Hopefully, and this is what I want to know, on one of the many blogs from Capcom, some kind of official comment: was using characters from SPC/KNT even considered, in either UAS or CGH?


In any case, I may very well just buy this game anyway, cats or no cats.

I still think an arcade style beat-em-up would work for the cats.  Either that, or a fighting game in the vein of DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Okay, everyone. We get two new characters revealed, today!

In this first video, we got Zero, from the MegaMan X Series, with Techs from X4, X6, and others mixed into his fighting style!

And in this second video, we got Joe the Condor, from Gatchaman. He's reminiscent to ProtoMan, but his fighting style involves grapples and his rifle, as well.

Now, the final character that would be revealed will have to be Yatterman-2. The code doesn't have Speedy Cerviche spelled out as "Yattero." So, DON'T make a big deal out of it.

...Still, maybe it WON'T be Yatterman-2, and Capcom could surprise us all with the ultimate surprise hero!

Title pretty much says it all, but seeing the whole gang together really just makes me smile.  Can you spot new additions like Frank West, Zero, and Joe the Condor lurking amidst the familiar faces?

Seeing the final box art also makes me feel like it's officially time to smile--the game they said would never make it over here is not only coming, it's coming in style, with some great new characters, and don't miss that beautiful little blue sticker in the upper left:  "Nintendo Wi-fi Connection"!
