Since I have internet I've been trying to get the cartoons that I really liked just for my children, I plan to have my first in this year... Anyway is sad to see how the cartoons have gotten worst and I try to be an open minded about cartoons; I like KND, SpongeBob, Fairly OddParents, Dave the Barbarian, Billy & Mandy, Danny Phantom, Foster Mansion and even some episodes of my Gym Prtner is a Monkey but os true that oir cartoons were a lot better and deeper... I just hope can get all Animaniacs in Latin Spanish for Yakko, Wakko & Dot teach my children to be as annoying and smart like I tried to be...

Even the japanese cartoons have gotten worst, I mean all that we get now are copies fropm old shows or psychological (boring) series where the characters spend all the episode taling about existentialism while to see to nowhere...I'm getting Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken, Street Fighter II V, Magic Kinght Raye Arth and obviously SPC for them... I don't have to ask for Dragon Ball, it always will be showed by TV...

I never understood whatt was the hype about Card captor Sakura, I mean, the arument was really stupid and Sailor Moon and raye-Arth had a lot more of action, I liked that cartoon but wasn0t the big deal for me... Pokémon would be good if follow the timeline iof the games; is irritating to see that ageless Ash with his dumb face everywhere and the Team Rocket already saturated me... Specially with the mexican traduction that became really annoying...

What happened to cartoons is that bald-headed business executives took over and turned it into nothing more than a business aimed at kids.

I still have some old school Pokémon VHS tapes back from the late 90's. The newest pokémon VHS I have is one from Jhoto. And we have maybe 6 of the 8 movies. But still, Pokémon season 1 pwns all and is def. FTW. But back to the old cartoons.
============
I enjoyed Dexter and Super Mario Bros. super show, and old school Scooby Doo, Heathcliffe, Garfield (He's from Indiana! WOO!), Samurai Jack (MAJOR FTW), Yu-Gi-Oh! (season 1 and 2), BLUES CLUES Tongue, Doug (Nicklelodeon one not the crap Disney Doug), Hey, Arnold! (that catchy jazz music in the BG) and so many others!!
============
The only good cartoons now a days are Fairy Odd Parents, Spongebob, Danny Phantom and some anime stuff Tongue

I like spongebob, used to like FOP but since "POOF" has been introduced i don't like it that much. anime, not much today holds my interest (i would say the pizza cat's, but sadly, it's not on air today, not even reruns  Cry Cry Cry ). But back then, there were lots i liked, wish kid(or mit), wuzzels, garfield and friends, new adventures of Winnie the Pooh (which sadly never airs any more in the US, only in the UK. The closest i ever  got to UK was the "epcot" world thing,  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry ), I miss cartoons. Cry

Yeah, Fairly Oddparents is pretty cool with Butch Hartman, the creator of Johnny Bravo, having produced it. Certainly unlike Jimmy Neutron, which sucks...the only Jimmy Neutron I ever watch are the Jimmy-Timmy crossovers. I mean, you can easily tell which Jimmy Neutron scenes were written by the FOP writers because they were actually somewhat funny. Like the lunch sack scene: "That's not mine..." ::turns around sack revealing the name 'Carl Wheezer':: "That's not me..." ::turns around lunch sack again this time saying 'Oh yes it is!' with Carl's face underneath::

Spongebob is cool too, though it's showing it's age. By now, most of the jokes are too predictable.

Anyone here remember the Earthworm Jim cartoon series? That one rocked. 100% faithful to the video game. ^_^

I miss all the good cartoons! Earthworm Jim was AWSOME!
Does anyone remember that Duck Dodgers series they had on cartoon network for a while? The only episode I really remember was when he accidently got the Green Lantern's costume from the dry cleaners.

Ah yes... I remember when tv was still good. Back when the Muppet Show was the best thing around, PeeWee Herman made a killing along with Mr. Bill and the Simpsons were just a twinkle in Tracy Ulman's eye.

Earthwork Jim had a catchy theme song and Evil the Cat was cool, but I think that was about it.I liked Powerpuff girls when they first came on. The shows in that generation from Cartoon Network were of legendary material, like Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack. But, try to pick the shows that aren't still on anymore to reminisce about.  Roll Eyes

How about Danger Mouse and Count Duckula? Those were personal favorites of mine back in the day. And even though it wasn't completely animated, Square One was amazing. Hey, can anyone tell me if Freakazoid is still on air?
