Any further progress on the translation will not be posted here. They will be posted at my site, hopefully in a few days. I've been too busy recently and can't work on it as much as I want.

If a mod would be so kind as to lock this thread, I'd appreciate it.

I made the topic in Teyandee discussion because it's a Teyandee translation, not an original game. I thought Game Projects dealt with original games only. Guido Confused

There's only four spaces for Polly's name there. I haven't added a "ll" to the new alphabet yet.

if there will still be a KNT version, would it be possible to abbreviate each Nyanki's name on the pause menu?

That's the plan.

As I said, this is just temporary. Placeholders, if you will.

Today's progress brought to you by the letters 's and ll!

Well, they're letters in MY alphabet anyway.

Little progress thus far - I'm editing the script, adapting the first draft so I can use a program to replace the Japanese one with the English one. I'm halfway done with the preparing process - so no in-game talky scenes yet.

I've also stumbled upon a problem. Has anyone finished the game? Well, you know how in the credits, you can see the characters at the top with their names at the bottom? I can't find that text anywhere. It may just mean that I messed up somewhere. I have friends that can help me out in that, so no frets.

Edit:
By the way, if the font looks familiar, that's because I ripped it out of another Tecmo game of the era: Ninja Gaiden III.

The latter is also a letter in the spanish alphabet, I believe.

Yep. We've got ll, rr, ch and the n with a tilde above it. Speedy Wink

By "letters in my alphabet", I meant that both 's and ll use one tile in-game. I normally use, at the very least, tiles with ll, 's, 't, and !! to save some space. Believe it or not, two letters in one tile goes a long way.

They may be immages. Best guess I have, having never translated a game (or hacked one)

Out of all the time I spent trying to edit the text when I tried translating the game I could NEVER find that text anywhere Undecided

Really, now. Well, lemme tell you what happened with another game I translated: Kid Dracula.

Basically, the game used one font throughout the entire game, except for one area: The final boss battle. I couldn't find the text at all, and I was about to give up when I saw three letters from the phrase the final boss said right between two bits of text. The rest made no sense, so I just changed those three letters, and the final message changed. It turned out that they changed the character codes for some letters to save space and have an easier time programming the last boss.

I'm basically saying that you shouldn't give up so easily. Things have a way of happening, I've noticed. Speedy Wink
