A classic RPG series from Sega's Golden Age, that's suffered from 'Sonic Syndrome' in the newer games. I'm one of the few lucky enough to own the Sega Saturn version (All 4 parts

Hurrah! ). I first got into the series, durring the Saturn's twilight days. A Saturn Magazine had a walkthrough of Shining Force III (Scn 1) with Screenshots. It looks pretty good, so a few days later, I bought myself a copy.

As I got into the game, I finally got used to the game system (as I'd been a platform buff before finally discovering the sheer awesomeness of the RPG), and the story was fantastic. Of course they had to edit some of the text in the ending from the original Japanese version (since they only ported Scn1 over to the West), and its notorious for the bad voice acting, but it was still one of the best reasons to own a Saturn back in the day.
