What do you hate?

Since nobody can think of anything good to say about SPC anymore, does anyone have anything bad to say about it? What do you hate about it? What gets on your nerves? Did any episode (or the whole series) leave you with an awkward taste in you're mouth? Now's your time to rant!

Or you could all gang up on me and send me into exile for my heresy.

I hate Good Bird. He's Bad Bird! 

I pretty much loved all the ep's. My only complaint is that, of course, there weren't more made. We could've used another episode for example, she didn't get enough episodes dedicated to her.

No hates from me, just some small annoyances. Could have had more and based episodes. Guido should have been able to use his finisher in the Catatonic too. Also, there should have been a continuity in SPC as well, like there was in KNT.

I... don't like SPC's opening theme song. It's just so obnoxiously loud and busy, making SPC seem like a more average "kiddie" show, in my opinion. That said, I LOVE the ending version right from the get-go.

I have to echo Violet here on the lack of DVD releases. Otherwise... Hmm... I suppose one thing that gets to me at times are the occasional animation errors. There are a few pretty blatant ones that make me shake my head whenever I see them, like leaving a clone of himself behind as he escapes a net, his mouth being animated but layered UNDER a still cel of his closed mouth, etc... Somewhat less severe is the inconsistency of drawing style. Somewhat inevitable given that the episodes had to be split among different groups of animators, but the times where 's muzzle is drawn wrong or and are drawn with shark teeth are sort of irritating.

My only beef with the intro is how long it is. I've seen anime with much longer, maybe the KNT version is, but SPC was the first anime I've ever seen. When I was a kid, it was so tedious having to wait for a new episode to start.

However, I love the beginning of the intro. Added with the crappy audio on the TV I watched it on, it sound like: "Would somebody please KILL that boid!!!" It made sense 'cause cats kill birds.

If any project were underway to make an SPC: The Abridged Series, I would see to it that the first gag on Episode 1 would involve that. Think: Duck Hunt.

I was thinking the same thing about Big Al being the dog, but still I would keep the original Duck Hunt dog as not to over-saturate the parody. And who said anything about missing? That bird is going down in my animation.

To go further, I would juxtapose the sequence with Vi using her NES. Too bad she didn't have a Light Gun in that episode.

I hate how Guido just has 2 episodes while Pururun has more, in fact I hate how he is left behind although he is the second in command... I also would liked another version of the opening (Teyandee Special Express could be a great opening song)... I hate that they thrashed 3 episodes with clip shows (In fact are 4 episodes with clip shows but at least one of them has a kind of argument), I mean... We could have 4 new robots and 4 new evil Koon's plots!!!

I hate how the final episode shows Koon wishing revenge but the series never was continued... I hate how some of the BGM aren't in the official released CDs... I also hate how Guido and Polly don't do anyuthing in some episodes (Anyway they appear in the pose) and obviously I hate the lack of KNT japanese DVDs and SPC american DVDs!!

Ah, that's another thing that's bothered me. Sometimes I daydream that when, someday in the future, KNT is released on DVD, the original 2 soundtrack CDs are rereleased along with a new one containing all the BGM that wasn't on the first two, and a big book featuring all the production drawings they can find is also released...

Cut down scenes, you mean like when Saban edited episode 5 (I think that it was 5) so that indtead of Guido hitting Speedy Speedy just faints from eating a pizza with a bruise for no reason? What was wrong with Sabans mixed episode? The only thing that I don't like is some of the obnoxious background music in the English one.

and also I thought guido had te be more in the lightspots in the episodes and that the american version cuts a lot of the action moments or the  moments

If you want to talk about recycled material, I'd have thought the suit-up/launch sequence and the battle entrance speech sequence would be easier targets.

Can't argue with that, considering the supreme quality of KNT's soundtrack.

I like to play my own tracks when playing Halo (cause it supports that option) and recently Speedy's finisher theme came on just as I was fighting a Scarab. It was sooooooo awesome.

this show had so much going for all the characters and not enough episodes to fill them. plus add on a bunch of just side-splitting pointless episodes that you dont care if they're fillers, and you've got at least another season out of the show.

i also agree with the redundant animation. from an artists point of view that's more laziness than cost-effective strategies. or maybe the animators had their hands tied, who knows.

i dont mind the shark teeth though, i found it kinda funny and an interesting phase for the animators.

and honestly... i'm gonna throw this out and not care what anyone thinks... but mama san and her son don't add anything to the show whatsoever, and i personally think it'd be better without them.
