 Zesty Corn Chowder Recipe 4 tbsp. butter 1 cup onion, chopped 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped 3 cans (10 3/4 oz.) cream of celery soup 4 cups corn kernels 4 cups milk 1/4 cup green chiles, chopped 1/4 tsp. white pepper In stockpot, melt butter on medium high heat. Cook onion and bell pepper 5 minutes or until tender, stirring constantly. Reduce to medium heat. Stir in soups. Add corn; mix well. Slowly add milk; mix well. Stir in green chiles and white pepper. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Serves 12 Prep Time: 20 Minutes Cook Time: 20 Minutes Total Time: 40 Minutes Our cook’s touch: We may also add some fennel grains in order to bring up the aniseed taste of this dish. Anyway, just writing to say that this doesn't taste so bad, quite the opposite really.
Especially if you add some chopped up sausages to the mix during the last five minutes of simmering.
