Because movie maker only accepts 640 by 480 or 320 by 240 ect.  I need an encoder to make some bleach episodes from 848 by 480 to 848 by 636. since WME is the only free encoder with no watermark I tried to use that one but I really don't know how to make a video from 848 by 480 to 848 by 636 correct...
this is the input screen:

and this is what I try to make:

but it mostly ends with.....:
or
or a combination of these 2.....

does someone know what to use and how?? (like cropping or re-sizing and how much)

Try VirtualDub - it can resize the video files:
Video -> Filters - resize:

It is free

Try again Smiley

I just managed to open an 720x384 video and save is as 1024 * 768.
The problem is: the programm fail to save in DivX codec giving me a The source image format is not acceptable. (error code -2) message. But it works good for XViD.

That is strange. A 1.9.9 version has now opened 512*277 and 720*384 or 504*288
Try instaling K-Lite Codec Pack http://www.codecguide.com/about_kl.htm (Mega version).

It is not a problem  Polly Wink

To use the filter you must add it first. Now press the "add" button, choose resize and click "OK".
Specify the size you need and press Ok. The filter will now be used when you save the video.

Go Video->Compression to choose the video codec you need.

Don`t forget to set Video = Full processing mode for the codec to be applied.
