 Guido Confused

Wrote a screenplay for a revival!  I should send it to Disney.

Read if you want, but don't complain about the last names, as I will not listen.

Interesting character names you've given the cats, not sure if Saban/Disney will change them or not.

And after all these years, I still hate reading in screenplay format, doesn't seem to... flow enough for my likes.

It's the actions of the words and dialogue that is supposed to paint my mental picture; not OOC text to tell me that a char has entered right or exited left.

That's just my opinion, though, perhaps some prose or novel style next time, then maybe I've be able to dig through the whole thing.

PS, The last names are inncorrect. That's all. Smiley

PPS, Also adding "X" to a title automatically makes it 10x more badass.  Cool

Speaking as someone who, *ahem*, actually read the whole thing, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The script format is often seen as a crutch for people who aren't good at describing things, but I think you made it work. There were a few typos, but nothing worse than I've seen in actual published scripts. Most importantly, though, I think you really captured the spirit of the show. Even though it had a bit of retconning, it FELT like something that could be an actual episode. I laughed out loud quite a few times (my favorite part had to be Jerry and Big Cheese discussing their ideal, settled-down lives).

I agree the title could use some work... with the wit you displayed in the piece itself, I'm sure you could come up with something more creative than sticking an "X" on the end of the title. Overall, I was pretty happy with this. Good job!

I did it in script format on purpose.  I was trying to practice writing in screenplay form, plus, maybe I'll really send it to Disney for consideration -- that's why I threw in the "Fox & The Hound/Peg-Leg Pete/Mortimer Mouse" reference.  Sucking up, as it were.  If we're willing to go all 80's, we could call it "Challenge of the Samurai Pizza Cats."

That was...intriguing. It was certainly well paced IMO and had a few good moments. Barring the screen play style, I enjoyed reading it truth be told. It has potential, that much I can say for certain, though I think the odds of getting new stuff on the air are nill to none...  Annoyed

Hey, we can always hope, I suppose...
