Aslo I think it best as to not think of humans being involved at all as it seems its all meant to be a stand alone world where humans are just thrown in as a oddity or joke once in awhile, but I find it interesting that in some cases animaloids like Omitsu are more of a walking weapon when compared to the other civilian types, and even the SPC dont have any such built in devices.

I already have thought a theory about the sheep type animaloids like Lucille. They are the result of darwinian evolution from early herbivorous animals, who were almost defenceless against predators. After long years only the species with some defensive system have survived, originating sheeps with missiles, irascible rabbits, and... uh, ho, it seems madness isn't a good attribute for survival of pandas...  The later may be an error in the evolution, it's not a surprise that they are in extinction.
Anyway, felines are predators, so their bodies are equipped for combat and not for defense. Taking Polly Esther as example, she got very hard and killing nails.

Concealed weaponry inside the animaloids. On the outside, they would appear harmless and innocent: however inside their bodies, they would hide something sinister after generations (or maybe centuries?) of ongoing technology, improving on their offensive and defensive mechanisms each passing moment. Maybe that could explain why most of Edoropolis got accidentaly blown to smithereens by Lucille in the comet escapade.
Could the characters have gotten any stronger as the series progressed?

Reploids is actually a similar race, except for the fact that Animaloids are more "organic" than reploids-- they can reproduce Wink and grow old.

I've recently read someone suggest that the humans from the Megaman Legends series are really reploids from the X and Zero series, only after thousands of years of evolution.

Maybe animaloids fall somewhere in between on the evolutionary scale? I have to say, I've always thought there was a resemblance between Speedy and Megaman. Tongue

Actually, the humans in MM Legends are not Reploids, they are "new" humans created by the last living Human in exsistance, Master.

The Pizza Cats and the other characters in the show can easily slip into different sets of clothes and thanks to the art of 'comedy' and light-heartedness of the series. But in the Megaman X (and even the Zero) series, I just don't find that as possible. Maybe a little complicated than KNT.
For the X series, I always imagined that the core memory which keeps the Reploids alive is located where the brain would have been, and if they wanted to change clothes (say, from battle or work armour their to casual duds), their head would be attached to a different body. That way, the core of a reploid would then control the entire body once the process is done. For those who don't catch my drift, just look at Sigma and the many forms he took in the games when he battles X/Zero/Axl!

I got that theory from all the Megaman fanart I've been seeing a lot while playing the games in case you like to know. Smiley

But, X and Zero change clothes all the time! Heads included! (Helmet upgrades...)

Ah, well in that case...
What's a "new human", anyway? XD

Supposedly, the last remaining human (Master, this genius blond dude Tongue) created reploid-like things, those weird humans that had reddish/brown skin and the Megaman series (of which the MM in Legends is one) and had achieved immortality. He wanted to bring humans back to the Earth (he has this kingdom called "Mother" on the moon, or something) and he did, don't ask me how. However, when he visited them in secret, he realized that the thing he'd created, "Mother," although perfect, lacked joy, anger, love, emotions in general, things that actually made people alive, etc, etc, etc... So he sent this Purifier Model (whose original purpose was to destroy units who had gone "bad") with it's memories erased ina an attempt to deactivate "Mother," since he was incapable of doing so. (The "Reploids" he'd created acted as guardians and caretakers for him, as well as ensuring that "Mother" remained in control of Earth, eliminating portions of Human population whenever it seemed like it would grow too large.)

I often wonder if all the inhabitants of the KNT/SPC world are cyborg type creatures. We only really saw Little Tokyo and Nery York City, but I think it's safe to assume everyone is like that.

It would be neat, though, if there were completely flesh/robotic people.

Uhhhhh.
Now I'm beginning to wonder how Saber Marionettes fit into that timeline. XD

I dunno, I rather like the strange little world the Pizza Cats live in as is. ^^
I mean, if there were normal people walking around, they might accidentally step all over Little Tokyo! XD

In the KNT46 -  Toki wo kakeru Nyankii episode (or SPC45 - Samurai Savings Time) one can see in the final part, Seymour Cheese & Bad Bird being chased by a mechanical dino, but the question about if they are in the past or future is left open. In the SPC it's stated that they warped to the past.
If we took the assumption that mechanical dinos existed in the KNT/SPC past, probably humans and organic life forms never existed in such universe.  Therefore I think the series as being located in a alternate universe, where there are no humans.

That episode left many things unanswered: how robotic dinosaurs would fit with the KNT time line, or how Bad Bird and Cheese got back in time for the next episode.  I believe that (since TimeMaster® malfunctioned) they were either transported into a holographic museum of sorts relatively close to the present, or were sent to a parallel universe which they managed to escape from.  The whole thing feels like a joke at a meeting with no forethought.

( Bad Bird and Seymour Cheese s' adventure, and however they fixed TimeMaster would be an interesting fanfic.)

My big question:  If the series is set in a future without people, or any land animal life whatsoever, why are there still trees/flowers/grass/etc.  From an ecological standpoint, what would keep plants from covering the earth completely?

(I realize that there were fish in episode 48, but they are the only exception.)
