I keep meaning to, but money's been really tight.  December is the worst though.  Maybe I'll get money for Christmas.  Otherwise probably not January because that's vet checkup month.

I haven't finished watching the series on DVD yet, but it is everything I could have hoped for.  It is so nice to physically own this show.  I'm in heaven.

If they really wanted to portray the Big Cheese as the mortal enemy of the Pizza Cats, why isn't he a dog?

I got 'em! I got my SPC box set.

With other favorites like the Dragon Ball Z original dub and My Little Pony Season 2 out before this, I had to pace myself. But the long wait paid off and I ordered it for a total of $24.81.  Shocked

The packaging is definitely on the cheap side--clear plastic, no outer sleeve, and the discs all look alike. No extras either. But for all 52 episodes of the first cartoon that ever really inspired me as a kid, who cares? They're finally here! Now I'm on Episode 5.

Looks like you may have bought a bootleg.

From Discotek's FB page:

"Be on the lookout for fake Samurai Pizza Cats sets being sold as original Discotek/Eastern Star releases. Someone has started making factory copies of region 1 anime titles using the same cover art as the original and they are using the same UPC to list them. The copied set is in a clear case with no security sticker on the top. Our original sets are in a black 8 disc case with a security sticker on top."
Yep, if that description is right I guess my copy is a bootleg. Damn, it was listed under the same ISBN on Amazon. Tongue  But what the heck. It's as good as I'll get right now. No problem with the quality of the discs as of yet.

I was scared that the show wasn't going to be as good as I remembered it, but it's even better!   Seriously everyone should buy this.

I've only just got around to checking this out (shame on me for taking so long!  Embarrassed ) and I've discovered that Discotek only ship to the US and Canada.  What about us UK/European bods?

If it's not SPC, TMNT, BMFM, Swat Kats or Sonic, what's the point?

It took me a whole month to save money for Anime Boston, but I finally got the DVD Box Set, and it's direct from the makers themselves! I cosplayed as Ash Ketchum, though.

This just in, it's looking like they're releasing Blu-Ray editions of the DVD's also. Though, it's also looking like it's more of a bundle package than a true HD release. We shall see though.

Yeah, I just saw that about an hour ago; honestly, it looks great--and I'm not just talking about the box-art; I think it's awesome to be able to watch all the episodes without constantly having to switch discs.

Nice, one more thing to add to my list of future purchases. Would be great if they took the opportunity to do the same thing with KNT and include better subtitles.

The Discotek stall at Megacon had both DVDs. I was pleased to see it represented there.

I agree. I think some SPC/KNT representation is always good.
