I like to do serious action mostly. Sometimes comedic and sometimes to just have the characters to just hang out. I also do on ocassions some romantic rps. Just for the characters sake. All for fun. Speedy Wink I only rp if there's nothing else to do or to let off some steam that happened to me recently.

Anyway, I would like to know on which kind of RPs anyone here likes to do. I'm just curious that's all. I just want to know what your tastes are and what you like to do. No one's here to judge. Just tell us what kind of RPs you like to do and no one will judge you. Trust me.

Mostly on AIM for me.  Not that I've been able to much recently, but I'm usually "in character" when chatting with people, whether its RP or not.  Just something I enjoy.

I like em either way. I just want to be able to let my creativity show and further develop my character (and not have somebody try to lkeep me from doing that because they are all sore and stuff)

Yeah. I know the feeling. RPs are suppose to be fun. But, they are some people that can take the fun out of it because of either they made a grammer error or didn't read the whole post properly. But, all in all. RPs are fun to do and I'll keep doing it if it still keeps me entertained.  Smiley

Like Neko, im RP alot, sometimes via MSN, sometimes not.
My favourite style RP is probs Live-Action, i.e Vampire, Werewolf etc etc.
I Just get so infuriated sometimes at other peoples stupidity when i RP this way or in D&D at the gaming club i go to that Neko used to run, thats why i hardly bother these days

I prefer to do online forum RPs, as opposed to AIM ones...  I tend to get detailed and long-winded in my replies, and I don't like to keep the other person waiting.  ^_^;;

As for RP type, I stuck with one that I started for a loooooong time...  The whole thing lasted about a year and a half, with two completed portions, and two that started, but ultimately ended uncomplete, as people either lost internet connections, or just couldn't make the time.

The story had room for both humans and furries, which everyone seemed to enjoy...  The furries had gone through illegal experimentation at Calvary Labs, after being abducted from an adoption agency.  One of the "adoptees" was not experimented on, however, and he basically lead the uprising against the organization.  My character was hired by this guy, not knowing that he was Calvary's "favorite son", someone that my character had grown up with.

Long story short, it rocked.

In my role-playing experience, I've stuck mainly to chat rooms and messengers between friends. Forums sometimes move too quickly for me (just try to RP on Gaia Online, Yeesh!).
I like RP's that aren't heavily combat influenced.

Yeah...  When you RP on Gaia, you gotta find a quiet place, like a private guild or something.  =_=;;

Haven’t rp in a chatroom in ages...and since I have no internet at home, I can’t anymore.

IRC is the best for huge "live" rps, forums are better for slower style rps and to have fun.  Battles are a “do” in IRC and a “don’t” in forums...

Battles in msn, icq or other stuff like that are a mess, IRC is the bests for battles!.

AIM has been the most successful for me, as you can create chat rooms and have numerous people at once.

The absolute best RPing I've ever done was waaaay back in the day before most of you kiddies ^_~*

Vi was running the SPC RPG in private chatrooms on AOL (back before AIM or anything else except Compuserve), and there was quite a merry band of us. Vi, SPC Polly, GuidoDan, Expresso and I to name a close few. We'd all crowd into the rooms and just get insanely crazy, I mean we're talking sometimes 20 SPC fanatics playing characters with each other all at the same time and having the time of our lives. I can remember a few chats that I logged that would still split my sides after I read them a hundred times over.

We had good and bad times, crazy and hillarious, all for the sake or roleplay, and it's a shame that there isn't something like that happening anymore. Sad to say I've barely RPed since then and I have to admit that I miss it.

Well c'mon Aster, I still hold AIM Chat room RP's with people here sometimes.

Though not as often as I'd like.

RP - Love it or leave it!

Eh~ I'm flexible.
Nothing too weird or uncomfortable though.
I like keeping the characters just the way they are, yet at the same time I do wish for character development to take place.

So that being said...
Umm... I guess I like most kinds of RP'ing.

Well, I like to do roleplaying and my apologies for raising a pretty defunct thread once more but I thought it would be the best place to mention it.

I don't mind roleplaying with anyone and I do use AIM and other accessories. I would like to try SPC, I must admit for a change. I have done StarTrek back on the StarTrek Voyager forums. By God, we used to have some cracking RP's on there, ranging from anything to StarTrek and even vampires or whatever you wanted. Of course, as with everything, "all good things must come to an end".

I've also roleplayed Final Fantasy VII, a mixed-weird Harry Potter roleplay with anime characters added in, a very creative RP me and a friend do and another RP based on the "real world" but with some a Yakuza/Tekken based theme.

Oh, and lest I not forget my Global Political roleplaying games. I've been playing those for a while, so I do indeed enjoy being a politician. Currently I am roleplaying the People's Republic of China (I support the Republic of China (Taiwan) in real life but anyway) on one of them and I was playing the ROC/Taiwan in the other.

I have a wide range of interests, so you could call me a "Ksim of all Trades" I suppose.
