Title: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 02, 2005, 02:53:08 am This cartoon series is the sole reason why Link never speaks in any Zelda games.
With a catchphrase like "Well Excuse me, Princess," it's no doubt. Plus the fact link never actually cuts anybody with his sword, he just shoots the laser beams. Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Methid Man on November 02, 2005, 05:26:17 am Plus the fact link never actually cuts anybody with his sword, he just shoots the laser beams. What do you expect from an American cartoon? ::) -- Sam the Methid Man Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: BurkeWorld on November 02, 2005, 06:50:56 pm This cartoon series is the sole reason why Link never speaks in any Zelda games. It's not the Master Sword, it's the Master Blaster! Burkey Well I liked it when I was a kid...but yeah, by today standars those 13 episodes suck. At least the rest of the Suyper mario show was cool! Just do a search for Zelda. Saw the "Capitan N" Zelda episode? It was funny. Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 03, 2005, 01:22:43 am Nothing like a white kid rapping back in the mid 1980's.
And why is links hair BLONDE in like all the games, but brown in the series? hmmmm.... Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Blackcat on November 03, 2005, 03:54:00 am Nothing like a white kid rapping back in the mid 1980's. And why is links hair BLONDE in like all the games, but brown in the series? hmmmm.... Cause Blond is for girls in 80s Tv series. Sure Scooby doo has a blond guy, but Scooby doo first Tv series started a lot before the 80s. Besides, he would have been too similar to He-man...whith a power sword and all... By the power of Well Excuse me, Princess! Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: KyoZaber on November 03, 2005, 02:51:24 pm Nothing like a white kid rapping back in the mid 1980's. And why is links hair BLONDE in like all the games, but brown in the series? hmmmm.... Take a look at some of the art for "The Legend of Zelda" and "The Adventures of Link". Originally he was brown-haired. And the cartoon is a bi-product of the 80's, of course it's gonna lack violence and stink very bad. Cartoons back then always had to end with an obvious lesson, and the heros and heroines had to walk, act, and look the same way. Also, I give the writers some (not alot) of slack. They're just trying to make a story with little information avalible. However, I think that they could've done wayyyy better. This series is a real stinker, and adds absolutely nothing to the Zelda franchise. If anything, it makes Link look like some retarded football jock, and Zelda look like a... something. I don't know what, but it ain't good. 1 more gripe. The thing that upsets me most about most 80s cartoons is the fact that there is some plot-hole that allows the evil villan to escape. I mean... Come on! Put more than 1 villan in there! And don't just sit there while he goes down a hole and just say "Oh well... He got away..." Guh! Bah! Feh! Oh well... That's enough of my venting on this. Lol, so so true. :D -- Sam the Methid Man Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 04, 2005, 12:45:52 am Well, the legend of Zelda only had 1 bad guy, Ganon, for like the majority of the franchise, that is until they put in Majora and Vaati. (sorry if I missed some)
If anything, it makes Link look like some retarded football jock, and Zelda look like a... something. I don't know what, but it ain't good. It makes Zelda look like a feminist rights activist, just look at the way she acts... She Wears pants, is extremely bossy and failes to give Link any, ahem, "incentive." ;-) Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: KyoZaber on November 04, 2005, 02:18:54 am Well, the legend of Zelda only had 1 bad guy, Ganon, for like the majority of the franchise, that is until they put in Majora and Vaati. (sorry if I missed some) True~ However the writers could've come up with something. Come on! Be creative! There's plenty that can be done! The adventures of dumb jock and buisness woman. Yeah it has the "Excuse me" in it Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 11, 2005, 11:33:52 am Yay 2 TRIforces
oh man, thats great. Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Blackcat on November 16, 2005, 05:18:16 am Yay 2 TRIforces oh man, thats great. Wouldn’t that be a sextupleforce? Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 16, 2005, 12:07:01 pm Well, to be more accurate:
3 triforce shards. Wizdom Power and Courage. you know, like in every other zelda game. Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Supersonic on November 16, 2005, 08:42:02 pm Yay 2 TRIforces oh man, thats great. Wouldn’t that be a sextupleforce? Zelda 1 had two Triforces. The triforce of power belonged to Gannon, and Zelda split the remaining Triforce of wisdom into 8 shards and hid them in the underworld, IIRC. Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 16, 2005, 09:54:49 pm my bad, I forgot about the whole zelda 1 only having 2 triforces.

It left the story wide open for The Adventures of Link. Title: Re: Legend of Zelda Cartoon Series Post by: Valkyrie on November 20, 2005, 05:12:59 am After watching more of the series, LoZ has lots, and lot of continuity errors, lack of consistency, and a whole bunch of other things that make it awesome.
For one thing, Link in the show is right handed, and everyone clearly knows he is left handed 8) Also, Sprite's hair keeps changing from blonde to brown, several times during the course of the episode. And in one special case, Link's sword mysteriously appeared in his sheath when he had just lost it, on a rooftop, moments earlier. And thats why it's so cool. Still, nothing beats all the mistakes of the old transformers movie. |
