Samurai Pizza Cats / Teyandee! Discussion / Re: Differences between KNT and SPC

Okay, okay. I just finished watching episode 1 of KNT, and I actually like the American cartoon better. Most of the time, I find US-dubbing and modification crap (as evident in G Gundam), but I REALLY like SPC better. Then again, I saw the series originally as SPC, but I found SPC to be much funnier.
Although I did find it funny when Ko'on-no-Kami-sama called Wanko-no-Kami a homo (how ironic, because I'm a huge supporter of gay rights).
I like both, but I do think SPC is funnier than KNT. It doesn't take itself seriously, doesn't worry about making sense, its all just goofy and fun. Totally!

Nirvana- Rape Me
Very good taste. I remember I listened to Nirvana sooo much in Kindergarten (that wasn't meant as a joke or as offensive, I really did like Nirvana when I was 5) As for music....I'm listening to: The Restoration of Chaos and Order by Against All Authority

While I don't support the war or the politics behind it, I do support the men and women in the hotspots of the world, regardless of political activity. The cause may be tainted, but they are still my brothers and sisters trying to make a living.
Same here. I've got a friend in the Canadian reserves. He's a field engineer. The've got him setting up artillery mortars in Afganistan. I hear ya man. There are so many things regrading Canada's involvement in Afghanistan, but people would rather point fingers at Bush. Check out the Centre for Research on Globalization at: www.globalresearch.caGeez...I came here for Samurai Pizza Cats and I end up talking politics

EH!
Yeah, I'm Canadian too. Born, raised and still live in Terrace B.C. He's moving for a healthcare cut? Moron
Indeed he is. He is one of the most outspoken anti-Medicare critics in Canada (as evident by his membership with the National Citizen's Coalition). You should pick up Maude Barlow's book "Too Close for Comfort: Canada's Future Within Fortress north America". Both the Liberals AND Conservatives are pushing for a US-like private system. Or check out the Council of Canadians website at: www.canadians.orgSo you're from Terrace, eh? My cousin lives there. Do you know a Derek Itani?

Aside from my application to become an OPP Officer, I have also just applied to the Canadian Armed Forces as an Infantry Soldier.
If I don't have to make it into the OPP, I shall begin my Military career, probably going to Afgahnistan or Iraq for tours once I become a fully qualified Solider.
I'm nervous as sin, but also rather excited as this is rather life changing and one HELL of an adventure.
I've always wanted to see the world, and if I can fire some weapons, protect some people and kick some ass; count me in.

One of my best friends wanted to join as a communications specialist, thanks to his computer training. While I don't support the war or the politics behind it, I do support the men and women in the hotspots of the world, regardless of political activity. The cause may be tainted, but they are still my brothers and sisters trying to make a living. Good luck with your applications. Ontario Provincial Police sounds good (and probably safer )

Actually, no. He's putting more money into the Police forces across Canada, and since I'm going to become an OPP Officer, that's a GOOD thing for me. RW [/quote] Perhaps, but he's also moving for integration with the United States, slashed funding for Medicare (he is quite outspoken against public health), and is dismatling Canada's now-fragile welfare state. While I do agree that police funding is needed, I also believe that welfare state economics must be preserved, and that much more money is needed for our dying healthcare system, public education, and other aspects of the welfare state. While I'm not going to say anything negative about your choice to be an officer for the Ontario Provincial Police, I still strongly oppose Stephen Harper and his party's direction and platform. I'm friends with a lot of police officers and former soldiers in my town, and the majority of them support the idea of slashing funds from other sectors in order to raise spending for the police and military. It's easy for them to support public spending cuts when they have coverage under the government, but for the average worker, farmer, etc in Canada, the new budget is definitely a bad thing. Me too. Born and raised in Kelowna, BC. Is it just me or is Stephen Harper probably the worst thing for Canada?

Yah! We should privitize our health care. Sure our health care is free, but the goverment is so inefficient with it. We should still keep the free health care so everyone rich or poor can have health care but also have a private competing market so we can have some improved services.
I'm going to have to disagree with privitization. Privitization has one motive in mind: profit. In order to keep profits high for investors and shareholders, some costs must be cut SOMEwhere. Whether it be laying off needed nurses, closing hospital beds, or downright denying access to advanced equipment, those actions would, in turn, promote inefficiency. One simple solution? Allocate more funds to healthcare services in both provincial and federal budgets. Instead of giving huge corporate tax cuts and subsidies (as well as bailouts for branch plant US corporations operating in BC), that money could be used WAY more effectively for health care and other aspects of the welfare state.

Haha, right on.
Welcome to the forums my friend, you can call me RW or Reizche; it doesn't really matter.
Enjoy your stay and don't feed the Tigriss.
RW
EDIT: I see you study Kenpo, I've been practicing that for 12 years and have reached my 2nd Degree black belt. Always nice to meet a fellow Martial Artist. Awesome.
Thanks! I look forward to my time here. That's awesome you're a 2nd degree black belt. I've been working on my weapon's belt for two years because of laziness, but right now I'm a 3rd brown. I used to hate teaching days so much (I just got off my shift about 2 hours ago), but compared to working, it's much better.

Man, this show brings back some good memories. I think I was in between Kindergarten to Grade 2 when the show came out (forgot exactly), but the minute I saw the episodes on YouTube, I almost fell out of my seat. Samurai Pizza Cats and G Gundam are good memories from my elemetary school days.
By the way, I just joined this group a few minutes ago. My name's Brian. Nice to meet everyone!
I think you win the award for "Most Bizzare User Name Ever." RW Thanks! It's my middle name twice, then, since I was hardcore into most punk music, I added the Oi Oi Oi.
