General Discussion / Anime & Cartoons / Re: what happened to the cartoons?

I'm really disgusted with Cartoon Network these days since now they are airing live TV shows on a cartoon only channel. Isn't it supposed to be called "Cartoon Network" for a reason?! If you want a channel that airs both cartoons and live action shows, we have Nickelodeon and Disney.

can't remember when I saw it 1st but I did liked it, but wasn't such a big fan of it. 1st I saw the 80-90s version, later some series with real people and finally 2003, I liked 2003 most, only too bad they didn't used the older enemys and can't imagen that shredder suddently was not a human but that thing that used to be in krang. I always enjoyed to play an old nintendo game of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VcsyV42Q08too bad my nintendo didn't worked anymore. and I could play way better then these persons... playing without a friend I would've only died 1 or 2 times till the end I believe you mean the Utroms. There was an evil Utrom, who was ruthless, known as Charell. Charell went by many names on many worlds, most notably The Shredder. yea, that's the "thing" I was talking about but in the 80-90s shredder was a human, not a utrom, right? Yes but the Utroms only existed in the 2003 series and other incarnations. In the 1987 series, Krang is just what you call "an alien brain in a robotic body".

I don't know, unlike the DB movie, this one actually shows promise. Either this movie really does look terrible to some or I believe that loyal fans just don't want there to be a movie of a series. These days, it's like a movie adaption of a cartoon/game series is considered "uncool" just because of failed attempts in the past. The movies got to have some differences from the show otherwise it'd just be way too similar. At least, that's how I see it.

Definately. At the TMNT worldwide tour, they're reselling old products like old action figures with new packages and I saw some of the old games being sold. I need to rebuy them, I can't believe how stupid I am for selling them. I'm also excited for the 2 new games this year; TMNT Smash Up (Wii) and TMNT: Turtles in Time Reshelled (3D remake for Xbox Live, PSN, WiiWare). My god, I'm living in Nostalgia Land!

I don't see why one would hate TMNT, which is rare in my eyes. I wouldn't lie to any of you when I say TMNT was my most favorite show back then and I'm sure it was alot of peoples'. I really feel sorry for today's generation of kids who never grew up with the type of shows we used to watch back then. @sjonnoh: I am also having trouble getting my darn NES to work. The light still turns red when I turn it on but I get no screen (and no, it's not the usually "insert-outsert your NES game in and out of the system til it works" situation). My NES can be such a PAIN!

For those of you huge TMNT fans out there, this year is the 25th anniversary of the heroes in a half shell. This was possibly the biggest TV series in the late 80s/early 90s. To fans of both the 1987 series or 2003 series, there will be an anniversary special where the new meets the old. I think it's awesome to see TMNT, Rocksteady, Bebop, and Foot soldiers in modern animation. Here's a sneak peek of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUBLIi2FH1Y&feature=channel_pageWhat do you think of TMNT, when was the first time you experienced TMNT, are you still a fan?, etc.

that trailer reminds me of crimson skies for some reason... I'm sad Smith and Tinker aren't expanding that franchise Damn FPSs clogging the market these days anyhoo, The wii could use some more first-person-slashers. That would be awesome, especially with the the motion plus coming seriously looking forward to red steel two. Ha, the only FPS series I ever play are the Metroid Prime series. That's it!

@ D-Mac: 4 to be exact.
@ Helios: I read about the producer of the Star Fox series disliking the way how Miyamoto has been handling the series recently. He says that's not to say there will never be one but he probably won't be involved with it. He did also say he didn't like the Wii and called it a toy.
I have read that - what an idiot. Miyamoto was also a producer in the first four games. Plus, he and Takaya Imamura created the series, it's their choice to take it where they wish. I agree with Miyamoto, the Wii-mote could make an awesome controller for a flight-based game. Indeed.

Samurai Pizza Cats / General SPC Discussion / Re: SPC Live Action Movie

I imagine the cats would most likely be CGI, by today's standards. If it was made back then, a live action flick probably could have happened seeing as how the TMNT movies were back then. Anyway, as far as voice acting goes, I'm not sure. I'll have to come back.

Right, even though he still did bad things like those, he would at least learn his lesson. With his tone of voice back then, he seemed a little bit more innocent. I loved the episode where the three bullies got him to cut down the Springfield Founder's head off and that episode showed that Bart has some respect for Springfield. And the episode that introduced Nelson where he keeps beating up Bart and later he and his grandfather gather Springfield Elementary to declare war against him. Bart really made me sad when he cried for Homer for advice.
