Polly Ester Cel on ebay

I dunno if anyone is aware of this right now, but there is a GORGEOUS original animation cel of our favourite feline heroine Polly Ester going away on ebay for a starting bid of $4.99. (it will go up depending on how many bidders will notice this item).

Well... no, it's currently going out for over $25 dollars, plus the postage costs - possibly evenmore by the end of the auction. Looks like I'll have to sit this one out. 
Still, the other cels this guy is selling are also as decent, albeit very expensive.

The auction has ended today on October 3rd. Last time I checked the cel was going out for over $80! But when the auction actually finished, it was won for nearly $130!!! For such a high price I doubt that anyone in the forum won it. Unless...

The auction has ended today on October 3rd. Last time I checked the cel was going out for over $80! But when the auction actually finished, it was won for nearly $130!!! For such a high price I doubt that anyone in the forum won it. Unless... 

It was our own Little Bad Wolf who won.  He said he would, and he did!  It's a great cel and I'm sure it will be the pride of his anime collection.

Yeah, I finally got it after missing the first two deliveries.  I scanned it in in fairly high-res so everybody could see it, but can't find anyplace to post it on the Intraweb.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, that black-and-white drawing looks like it's the exact same scene.

Photobucket and Imageshack are both good free image hosts. Try one of them, perhaps.

A good mat board would be fine, but more important, keep it away from sunlight.  UV rays will fade the colors.

Well gueeeeeess what, people? Yes, yet another Polly Ester production cel is up on eBay. 

I believe this one is taken from the same animation as the last one - this cel has Polly crouching over slightly and her right hand is now a fist. Notice part of the explosion on the background. Check the link for more info.

Framing your SPC cell:

You can get UV protectant glass at any frame shop, and make sure that ALL materials you use in framing the piece are archival/acid free. This is very important if you don't want the art or chemicals in the materials to deteriorate over time.

A good thing to note: not all matboards are acid free.

Also, I strongly recommend that whatever you do, do NOT let the actual artwork touch the glass you frame it in. It should be set back slightly. You can use matboard, davies board (archival chipboard), or acid-free foamboard (preferably 1/8th thickness) to elevate the glass.

I work in an art store/frame shop, trust me on this

Thanks for the advice on the framing.  I'll probably take it somewhere and actually have it done, rather than attempting it myself. 

The file is only about four MB.  It's a somewhat large image, but not gigantic.
