question for Super Smash Bros. fans

But one of the game's main appeals is supposed to be it's nostalgia, and idea of crossing over legendary and obscure characters for dream matches.    Much like the Marvel vs Capcom games.

Yes, but if you haven't noticed, in Marvel VS. Capcom 2 Capcom made a MVSC2 specific character, Ruby Heart. So why shouldn't Nintendo make some type of Smash Brother's mascot?

What about the hand~? Isn't that a mascot~?

That's true, but the more you think about it... That hand was in games before Smash Brothers. Look at Mario Paint. But yeah, you're probably right, though it would be interesting to see something like a Nintendo employee as a fighter ^^

The hand in Mario Paint wasn't Smash Bros' Master Hand. It was supposed too be Mario's hand.
However, Mario's glove and Master Hand look exactly the same, so it is sorta confusing.

Capcom's made Ruby Heart for MvsC2, and Monolith Soft has made two new characters for Namco X Capcom. so, i'll also bet that Nintendo will introduce a new character to the new Smash Bros.

New items...the microphone from the Kirby series would be fun, maybe even the flight hat from Super Mario 64

another update: i think it would also be interesting to see one from the NES/FDS game, Pro Wrestling (someone like Fighter Hayabusa or Starman). or, maybe we'll see someone like Majora, or Eliwood (hero of one of the Fire Emblem games, and Roy's father), or even characters from Golden Sun, or Advance Wars!

one stage could be a battlefield based on Nintendo's Wars series; you'd never know when you'll get blown away by artillery tanks!

However, Hudson continues to co-develop the Mario Party games, so I suppose a small chance still remains.

I'm somewhat bothered by the fact that Waluigi exists. Wario's name is a clever spin on Mario's name. Waluigi... doesn't make any sense.
Plus, Waluigi's really just that Dastardly guy from Wacky Races, in disguise.

since Waluigi is Luigi's nemesis, his name is a pun on Luigi's name. and, it sounds a lot more like "warui" than does Wario's.

Plus, Waluigi's really just that Dastardly guy from Wacky Races, in disguise. 

heh, guess you could say that. i can tell you one thing, listen to his cackle in Mario Parties 4 and 5; it makes him sound more like Snidely Whiplash, of Dudley Do-Right.


btw, i just picked up a new article regarding who is directing the new Smash Bros., and who will be producing it. it won't be HAL Lab, although they are supporting the developer by giving them full access to the same equipment that was used to make Smash Bros. Melee.

I knew I should've posted here, but I didn't get the chance. Ah well. If it were up to me, then I would like to see: Krystal (Star Fox), Wario, Waluigi, Diddy Kong, Toad (maybe), any of the Legendary Pokemon that are playable, MegaMan (hopefully), Bomberman (it could happen), and anyother characters that are once played on an Nintendo system at anytime. I really don't care.

Right now, that's all I could think of. I'm sure that there are a ton of Nintendo characters out there, but that's all I could think of. Any new Super Smash Brothers game that comes out, I'm gonna get it because I want to know what kind of new characters will be in it.

But, if I want to see something totally new and something unexpected. I would like to see them putting Disney characters in it. I mean, think about it. Nintendo and Disney had been partners in the gaming industry for years. Even though Disney did help out with the Kingdom Hearts game for PS2 and Squaresoft, but Disney and Nintendo had been in great partnership for years WAY before Sony and Squaresoft. I think it would be a great tribute for their friendship they had if they would at least put ONE Disney Character in there. I think that would be great. But, that's my opinion. What do yo guys think?

Nintendo and Disney characters in a game together would be very interesting, but I've always found their relationship a little iffy. Capcom seemed to have the strongest ties with Disney in both the 8-bit and 16-bit era, and the only Nintendo-published, Disney-related game I know of was Mickey's Speedyway USA for N64, but it was developed by Rareware.

I would still like to see such a thing happen some day though.

I would like to see Mallow for Mario RPG in it, for sheer laughs, tho any new chara would be good as long as i could play them better than Kirby in the last game.

As for items, how about a master ball that lets us catpure charaters, making them lose a life, that would be intresting wouldnt it

If they were to make another Fighter or MvC sequel, I would just want Dante in there from Devil May Cry series.

Um. We are talking about Super Smash Brothers, man. Not MvC or any other fighting game. And also, I had never seen the series so I really don't know if he could be a good edition to any game. Especially not to Super Smash Brothers.
