Hi, folks! Thank you very much to all persons that are supling me KNT episodes.  Speedy Wink

Now I have some questions:
1 - Is there any active KNT translation project?
2 - Is there any episode already translated?
3 - Does someone interested in the translation of KNT to other languages? What languages?

I am waiting someone's reply.

Well, I know Tigriss is working on translating it. (EDIT: I can't find where I read that other thing). Also another person had expressed intent to translate it himself. People are only translating to english right now, as far as I know.

Well, you could make a yousendit link of the text file...email the file to yourself so that you get the link and paste on the forum hehe.

Project DREAM is Tigriss' big work, so that's the one we've all been pitching in to help with.

Thanks for the information about Project Dream, friends.  I see that the S.P.C. message board was moved to Edoropolis Emporium, where I don't find a thread about this project.  Tigriss, how is the progress of the Project Dream? Can I join?  Guido Confused

Yesterday I tried to make a transcription of the ' Hore Hore Ana Motto Hore!" episode (available at Nyanki Fanatics). There are few words that I can't understand, even with repeated careful listening, but most of the speech was succesfully transcribed in roomaji. I am thinking what to do in next step, perhaps translating it to Portuguese or English (for the later I need help), or converting from roomaji to Japanese characters. I hope to make this transcription available to everybody soon (How? Any suggestion, please?).

after seeing the KNT manual scans that Adam gave me, i've decided that i'm going to try and translate the text. it won't be so hard, thanks to the furigana that will give me an idea on what the text says. but, i can't guarantee on when the translation will be complete, as i'm feeling pressure from my summer course. believe me, if there's one summer class you don't want to take, it's trigonometry.  Yikes!

You... might wanna read that again before you try any translating.

Thanks bud!

What does that have to do with anything?
If he wants to try at translating the game's manual, then he can go right ahead. It's up to him.

Thanks, Burke World, for the link to the older SPC board. Now I can understand Tigriss'  work better. However I agree D-Mac, anyone can do any kind of work that can amuse himself. I know that colective work is more efficient than working alone, and could give better results. If  one have joined to a project, it's obvious that he must work within the guidelines of that project. I don't think that the existence of a project  precludes someone to work in the same subject just for fun, to learn, to earn money (actually I doubt its makes me rich Smiley) or for whichever reason. Therefore if a project don't fulfill someone's expectation, he can begin another one, that's democracy. I respect all works carried out, all efforts put to maintain SPC/KNT alive, so I am not blaming anyone here.

EDIT: Tigriss have contacted me, so I am working with her.

I've always preferred it when two projects are competing against each other anyways. The period when the competition between Sega's AM teams was at its peak ws when they produced the best games of the era. You learn from someone else's project, and see what you can do to make it better. If it was just one big team, that would be impossible.

I finished 97% of transcribing the 3rd episode of KNT (Hore hore ana hore motto hore! - the western counterpart is Underground Underwater Undercooked). I don't reach the 100% mark owing to certains words that I was not certain of their meaning, even with repeated careful listening.  Boys & girls, you can get this transcription at: http://www.quimica.ufpr.br/~fmatsumo/pizza/. I put text files with following encodings: roomaji (roman alphabet), UTF-8 (Unicode) and Shift JIS Japanese.
This episode was available from Nyanki Fanatics, but it seems that no longer is there. I'll make its available soon, please wait .
I am waiting for all feedback possible, please send your comments, corrections or suggestions. I hope to augment the accuracy of the transcription in this way. You are free to do whatever you want with this files, though I'll take no responsibility for the consequences of its use or abuse. Feel free to download, spread, use and modify it.
I am not claiming that my work is perfect or better than any other projects. Perhaps better transcriptions/translations will appear in the future, but until now I find no work published.
Now I am transcribing de 1st episode of KNT, the progress is near 20%, I think.  EDIT: now the progress is more than 50%.

Yes, Burke, I agree and need your help to reach the 100% accuracy. I did the best I could, but working alone is impossible to be perfect. I published my work with hope that someone can help me. Burke and other members of this board, please help to improve transcribing KNT episodes.  Guido Smirk

Well, when I said that don't mind if isn't 100% accuracy I wanted say that the important is that the idea of the dialogues can be caught... The japanese language has a lot of meanings and would be very difficult get a perfect translation of the dialogues...

Actually I have done no translation yet, I only transcribed the episode to Japanase using western characters (roomaji) and Japanese characters. This work is not that easy owing to words not clearly spoken, sounds and noises that make listening awkward, and lack in my Japanese knowledge. Therefore I need more people listening the speech and checking the transcription. Hey, is there any Japanese KNT fan here?
I have met one person interested in translate it to English, more people can join to this work. Perhaps I'll begin a translation to Portuguese, bt for now I am only transcribing episodes. The 1st episode was near 90% to completion.

I don't know any other fans who are fluent in Japanese, though I do know another Brazilian one.
If you translate the Japanese words into Portuguese, he made be able to help you translate Portuguese into English.
