I really didn't know what to make of this when I first heard about it on YTMND.

Really big stuff, which I (as a Canadian) could do nothing about.

Who cares about the big companies, none of that will matter, there will only be Googlezon.  I've said it before and I'll say it again this: http://epic.makingithappen.co.uk/ols-master1.html
is the future of the internet.  And skynet of course, but that's much later.

Actually the Terminator Prophecy didn't fulfill. I seem to remember Skynet taking control somewhere in the '90s, according to the original movie.

However, the Brits are deploying a military system named Skynet, for synics' sake.

And now for your entertainment, Ahnoll the gouvernator will say some words:

Bah, we'll run out of oil (and other easy energy sources) before any of these things come to pass.

Mac parody fun:

With the first one, they're basically saying: "the amount of sunlight hitting the earth directly is decreasing because pollution gets in the way."  The clouds of pollution are very similar to those caused when a meteorite struck the earth, filling off the dinosaurs.  Guess who came out on top after that?  MAMMALS! CUZ WE RULE!!!!

when we run out of combustible fuels, the pollution will slowly go away(or plants/animals will evolve to be more resistant to toxins).    The music didn't help for the first video, and it was downright annoying in the second one.  That's the problem with TV documentaries: they play all the base emotions, cutting off higher level thinking/understanding.

Here's another long made-for-TV documentary: http://www.911weknow.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=19 (Give it five minutes.  It picks up.)

I like this one, for it doesn't take itself seriously:

Sound to me like another attempt for politicized pseudo-science.

Doesn’t anyone want to consider that maybe the amount of solar radiation reaching the Earth is changing? The sun has many irregularities on its surface which change the amount of radiation that reaches Earth. This would have a much more significant impact on the phenomenon than any gases we send into the atmosphere.

Since we're all trading propaganda films, I might as well submit my own. Here's one I like: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2332531355859226455&q=The+Great+Global+Warming+Swindle

Very interesting!

However, it doesn't show our world coming to an end, I won't share it with my friends Speedy Wink (j/k)

I'm more interested in the fuel problem anyway, where's Pons & Fleischmann when you need'em! Tongue

Well, I have learnt over the last triple of years that it dosen't matter how innocent or useful something is, someone, somewhere, will turn it into a source of wealth, power and control.

Like with radio, the television and internet, it is in our nature. A damn shame I might add but folks will keep using Google and YouTube and the Earth will keep on spinning.

However, there is some good news on the horizons! Terminator 4 is in the works! Now *I* want to be John Connor.  Cool

Sorry for doubting that video from so long ago.  I totally glossed over the main subject matter until I rented it again one night.  You, and it, were right.

It's really depressing, you know?  It's too big to change, it's set to do a whole lot of (potentially) permanent damage, and it's staring us right in the face.  It's about 25 C out and not even June.  Bleah.

I've narrowed him down to a first initial, a last name, and a city of 160k people.  That's as far as I'll go.

I used to have a lot of time on my hands to do that kind of investigation on forum members. I've done my homework on quite a bunch of you people. I probably know more than most would like me too. I won't name names. People are so sloppy with the info they leave lyin' around the internet. I shouldn't talk; I'm probably the most sloppy with my personal info.

Don't worry, you're all safe.
