hey sans soul, what's the name of your program you use? I really want to make thinks better than what I've made before on mspaint XD
It's called Photoshop, I think it's probably the most well known and most used image editting software in the whole world.
Yeah.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS version 8.0. That image was drawn on paper, inked, then I scanned the image and colored it with my Wacom tablet (including all the individual feathers and details ;_; ).
I'd absolutely recommend purchasing this software if you enjoy drawing and making images on the computer...but.. I can't say that I "purchased" my copy >:7 Any Photoshop version will do - they are all basically the same to a beginner, but if block coloring is your thing, you might also enjoy Adobe Illustrator, which uses clever ways of making up an image. That one's a little harder to figure out on your own than Photoshop is, but still an excellent program nonetheless. If you want to make drawing easier, you could invest in a scanner and work from your hand-drawn images, or a tablet so that you can draw in Photoshop (MUCH easier than mousing everything, which I did for a long time).
And with that said, here's just a quickie I did completely by tablet in Photoshop.

really, your art is awesome, I also was planning on buying a tablet to make it easier, well, some people say it's harder to draw on a tablet then if you just make a draw on paper, but I'll have to practice on that.

thank you and thank you ^^
drawing with a tablet is difficult and hard to get at first, but the more you practice, the less you notice how awkward it is. even sketching stuff out to practice is a good way to get the hang of using one. it doesn't take too long.

Love the atmosphere and the architecture.
I'm imagining some Samurai Cat on the other end thinking: "I wonder what's on the other side of this bridge."

the atmosphere and imagery in this picture is open-ended so that it may inspire you to question and create your own ideas of what it could be.

Perhaps Aster, rather than looking ahead toward a long journey, is taking a moment of reflection to look back at the journey she's taken so far. She has already crossed the bridge. It's always good to remind yourself of your own accomplishments.

The scenery looks very lovely. I've always been a sucker for an early-morning mist, hanging over the area. (It usually leaves a lovely scent that feels invigorating to me.)
As for a caption for the picture... well... I've got a few ideas. Nothing quite as serious as Mech's, yet they make me smile.
- "Crap... I forgot my toothbrush..."
- And as Aster turned to walk away... the bridge transformed into a GIANT BRIDGE MONSTER!!! ... Which was quickly subdued when it fell down into the ravine which it was providing passage over.
- As Aster stood there... reflecting on the journey past... A word came echoing from the distance... "Ri~cola~!"
- The haze covered the entire mountain... The scent of dew mixed with the scent of pine... drifting along in the cool breeze...
She stood at the end of the bridge... looking back at the scene that lay before her. It was all calming... reflective... and gratifying.
While it was not a gift that could be taken with her, it was still a blessing given to her for the journey thus far.
Moments of beauty, calm, and peace need be cherished... For the road ahead is as cruel as it is forgiving.

Penciled this out in my hotel room at Anime North.
BTW, I got stuff to post from that event, but I'm waiting for vids and pics to be uploaded by a friend; she's got the more embarrassing stuff that I'm certain many of you would enjoy.
