IRC, whats the point?

Is there any  poiint in keeping those two channels?

I stopped using IRC a long time ago.  I know it still has some popularity with some people, but I stick with AIM for the limited chatting and file sending I do.

I'm always on IRC at Rizon but my computer can't handle these two servers at once without constantly timing out.
