Your thoughts on the Sega Dreamcast?

I now have a Dreamcast. ^^ I've been interested in the system for quite a while, but something always held me back from buying it. Finally, only six and a half years after the system was discontinued, I finally got in on the action.
It was a bit of a mess at first, though. See, first I bought a new system at a small local games store (after the Ebay ones became too expensive). And it worked fine for the first few hours. Then my VMU and controller went dead. I first thought it was just a VMU problem, so I went back to the store and had it replaced.
Only it turned out it was the controller that wasn't responding, not the VMU. So I took the controller back to the store and had THAT replaced.
Only it turned out it was a problem with the system itself; either a faulty controller port, or a blown resistor. So I had the SYSTEM replaced.
If you kept count, that was four times I had to drive to the store and back. I swear, it was like a Twlight Zone kind of thing. "If I spend any more time here, I'm going to have to start paying rent." I told the pretty girl at the counter. But somehow, it was all worth it. I really like this system. It helped that I started out with three awesome games: Sonic Adventure, Hydro Thunder, and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
The second Dreamcast is working fine. It's a black "Sega Sports" model instead of the regular gray model. With it, I have two gray controllers and a blue VMU. My little brother is already into it, especially Hydro Thunder and Soul Calibur. The fans were right; this is definitely a great system. Now I also have NHL 2K2, Jet Grind Radio, Soul Calibur, Sega Smashpack Volume 1, and WWF Royal Rumble.

Soul Calibur...? Curse that neighbour of mine!! I watched him play that game back in 1999 (and a good game it was, too) and had zero time to have a go on it myself when he decided to trade it in for Sonic Adventure after less than a week. Might have been a necessary evil, but then again, I miss SC even to this day.

I loved the dreamcast because it was so easy to get free games, pretty much just download the game you wanted and burnt it onto a disk, no need for fancy pants mod chips or nothing.
