Out of all the video games you play, what are your favourite levels, maps, or locations? Where do you like to go in your interactive experiences? And what makes these places so good? I'm still figuring this out for myself.

Off the top of my head, I can think of Clanker's Cavern from Banjo Kazooie. A large portion of the level is centered around a giant mechanical garbage-eating shark.

Course 3 of Super Mario 64 - I like how the music changes throughout, whenever you're swimming, on the surface, in a cave, etc.
Facility / Felicity map in GoldenEye / Perfect Dark - it's insane how much me and my pals like to do multiplayer there!
Underwater levels in Donkey Kong Country - why are the music in underwater themed levels, as a whole, are so good?

Ah yes...  Smiley

My friends always knew they could find me hanging out in the washroom upstairs.
And who can forget my Remote Mine Toilet Fresheners?

When I was 14, my fav hangout was Yoshi's house in Super Mario World: Yoshi's Island.... when I was bored I'd go in there and eat all those stupid fruit berry thingies.

I must've been a really bored kid o_o

But I must say that out of all the games I've played and "hung out" in the most... the award goes to FF7: the chocobo ranch. I have all kick-ass S Rank gold chocobos in my stable ^^;

I've always had a soft spot for forests.  For some reason, I have that elven demeanor (tall, long hair, agile, and pointed ears).

Kokiri Forest - Zelda
Click Clock Wood - Banjo Kazooie
Haunted Wood - Diddy Kong Racing
Teldrassil - World of Warcraft
Animal Crossing as a whole.

Something about the closed-in yet out-in-the-open atmosphere that I really enjoy.  That and I love climbing trees.

*high-fives Harmonex for Click Clock Wood*

I still find myself whistling the tune for that level. I can never get it out of my head.

I know what you mean, that has to be one of the best tunes ever.  It reminds me of something else, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I couldn't bring myself to abandon all the others...they were too cute, and I had been through a lot with them.  And the sex.  I would miss the sex.

Thanks for reminding me of this: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=72

Hanging out on the virtual grandstand stage, wailing off long solo's and chords from Metallica's "One" in Guitar Hero III.

It's like my nightly drug before sleep.
