Think the Pizza Cats make some strange pizzas? Well, in Japan, they do pizza a bit different. Check out the Japanese Pizza Page http://www.chachich.com/mdchachi/jpizza.html I actually like Japanese pizzas better than North American style.

I'm not very familiar with Yen, but isn't that pizza quite expensive? I'll still take pepperoni anyday.

Heh, now me...I love the pizza that Andy B's (local shop) serves. The store is almost always deserted though...kind of makes me hope it doesn't shut down, it's the most delicious pizza I've ever tasted. And yes, pizza is my favorite food, how did you guess?

In Macedonia they had all sorts of different pizzas (anyone remember me mentioning the pizza with ketchup and mayo?)
Also, the kinda pizza we all know and love here in North America (mozzarella with sauce) is actually known as pizza margarita everywhere else (at least in Europe).

I'm getting hungrey now by looking at them. In a way, pizzas at the SPC emporium are accurately the same look as real world oriental pizza. I adore pizza BTW.

I've spent a bit of time in Japan and had the chance to eat lots of Japanese food. Yes, some things are served raw, but pizzas are supposed to be cooked and you won't find anything raw on them. It just wouldn't go well having raw cold food as part of a hot cooked food. That said, I love sushi and have no problem eating raw fish and such. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.

Raw food isn't exactly a common thing for them to eat though. Most people tell me they eat raw stuff more as a delicacy. I wonder if you can get salmon roe on pizza...

Yes! sushi is awesome! Alex Bay "near Kingston Canada" has the best sushi joint. Right along the docks, and they serve real sushi, not the prepacked stuff. As for raw food, I come from a Norwegian backround so... raw venison anyone?!

i tried sushi one time, but the taste didn't appeal to me. of course, i knew that it was the kind of taste i'd have to get used to. one Japanese meal i do enjoy is chicken teriyaki, whether on a plate or on a stick. do any of you suppose that there are teriyaki pizzas in Japan? that would certainly sound as tasty as barbecue pizza
