If they were to feature KNT characters, it really would be a great way to get the show back into the public eye. Aside from doujins and such, the last KNT-related production was... Souma's manga maybe? And that was only a year or so after the show.

Is there anyway we could help get KNT characters in the game? Also, will it only be released in Japan?

According to the article, the game is being developed by Capcom, and their website no doubt has a customer service e-mail or some kind of form that could be filled out. However, some things to keep in mind:

- Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, the game may never be realeased outside of Japan. Namco x Capcom included a variety of characters that would have been more immediately recognizable to Western gamers than some of Tatsunoko's properties, and yet it never came here.
- For the moment, the game is arcade-only. There may never be a console port, and even if there was, there's no indication of what systems it would be for.
- The article gives a release date of sometime this winter, which suggests that the game is already pretty far into production. Capcom may have already decided which characters they're going to use (they probably have to pay Tatsunoko licensing fees for each one), and might not be taking requests.
- Tatsunoko has a huge library of major anime titles to choose from, including (but not limited to) Speed Racer, G-Force (Gatchaman), Robotech (Macross), Casshan: Robot Hunter, and even part of Neon Genesis Evangelion. There's no guarantee that characters from Kyatto Ninden Teyandee would be used at all.

This is a form where you can submit questions and feedback to Capcom, although it's more of a technical support option than anything else. (It's also linked to their US site, so the form may change depending on your region.)

Would be stupid see the guy from Speed Racer fighting agaist Blanka, we must hope that at least Yattaro can pass the filter... After all KNT is a real original show (Few animes are like this) and I think the Nyankees would be better fighting characters than others... Macross is having license problems due to the Robotech thing and Evangelion also depends from Gainax so I think they must look for good fighters (Tatsunoko isn't Shhonen Jump after all)... Let's cross our fingers for see Yattaro there... (Let's be realist, just the main charcter would appear in a crossover game like that)

Which is a good point, the SPC have ultimate finishing moves, and a range of lesser moves you couldn't ask for more when adapting a TV show character to a fighting game, its made so much easier, then just taking a non fighting type and trying to make up moves for them.

Frankly IMO they were made for this kinda opportunity.

Well, since Yattarou is the main character of KNT, we should at least hope for him to be in the game, although I would love to see the other two as well. Since the game might be released only in Japan, I don't think it's possible for Capcom to take ideas outside the nation. But who knows, maybe we could ask japanese fans of this forum to vote. Maybe.

Looking the appearace of the gane scripts, thery seems to have a realist style very different from the Street Fighter Zero style so the animaroids eould look funny fighting the Capcom people... Anyway Capcom will include at leat one of the Rockmen (One of the backgrounds is from Rockman DASH that is my favorite after the original Rockman and we evenb can see servebots) so I think the styles mixing is already been worked... Also if we look the appearance of Tasunoko series most of them have weird designs... I hope at least Capcom mnake their basis in Wikipedia where the 4 most popularsTatsunoko series are Mach Go Go, Gatchaman, Macross and Teyandee!!

Capcom has made some unpredictable character choices in their VS games before (Shuma Gorath, anyone?), as well as featuring small, cute, comical characters (Roll, Servbot, etc.) so I'd say they have a chance.

Pururun vs. Phoenix.  That would be the ultimate catfight.  No pun intended.

And you're right.  It'll probably only be main leads.  But I've seen them cram upwards of 60 characters into these types of games, so who knows...
