Before there was the ‘Comet Caper’ there was the little pot-bellied pig who dropped in from out of space and landed through the roof of the Pizza Parlour. Naturally the pig thinks Speedy is it’s father and everybody decides to hire it as a waiter. Unfortunately, the pig’s grotesque appetite threatens the world’s food supply so inevitably it must be sent back to it's home planet.
This is not one of the better episodes of the series, and I remember not liking it much as a kid. Still, I only had ten episodes on VHS so I appreciated what I could get! However, if you’re an ‘E.T.’ fan you might like this. It’s kind of like E.T. if he were a food-crazed ham …
It’s interesting to see Speedy as a surrogate father. Despite Big Al thinking he doesn’t have the patience, Speedy becomes extremely attached to the pig and there’s a very sad scene where the two are forced to part. It was a lot like Polly in the end of the ‘Comet Caper’. Speedy even sees his friend’s face lit up in the night sky … Speedy’s so adorable

But in the words of the Narrator:
“ ... another sugary episode like this and I might have to go on a diet”.
Other highlights: Some good jokes about aftershave, and Guido’s witty retort to Bad Max’s,
“You’re history, Pizza Cats!”. That being,
“What are you, Geography?”Two out five, I’ve seen better **
