In this epsode of SPC, the Big Cheese decides to use the great American pastime to wipe out the Pizza Cats once and for all, which is very ironic, since the show takes place in Japan.  Of course, it's time for the annual baseball classic, how convenient for him.  Recruiting the greatest baseball player in cartoons, who Princess Vi has a crush on, Cheesy tries to take over the throne, only to be thwarted by Speedy's Ginzu Sword yet again.  The Pizza Cats team wins by .5 runs (yes, you read that right) and Princess Vi finds her leading man, although he happens to be an entirely different person.

Highlights:

-Princess Vi, seemingly entranced by her baseball hero crush, calls Speedy a "little pumpkin."
-Big Cheese and Jerry Atrick on commentary for the big game.
-Cheese appears in his cheerleading uniform once more.
-The teaser.  "Will Princess Vi marry the baseball player, move to Minneapolis and start a chain of daycare centers for obnoxious children?"  So random.
-Speedy hits a home run with his Ginzu.
-The "Wonder Ears" bit.  It may be a horrible pun, but I darn near died laughing when I heard it.

If they really wanted to portray the Big Cheese as the mortal enemy of the Pizza Cats, why isn't he a dog?

If I ever need cheering up, I'll just schedule some time watch the Cheese in that cheerleading outfit ...  Grin

Cheese also takes a line drive foul ball to his face in the middle of his routine.

The Japanese are actually just as good at baseball as the Americans. And their little league is, like, unbelievable.

Anyways, the part I like in this episode, is when everyone runs over Speedy when Fernando (I think that's the Baseball player's name) arrives in the parlor.

Baseball is the sport number one in Japan, all least that's what all those baseball mangas tell me... the weird thing is, that no one had the brilliant idea of  in selling a baseball manga in USA... and Americanize it...

My Favorite line is when speedy is rounding the bases and guido says "Why don't you rip your clothes off ya hot dog!" Yikes!
