To be more specific, I want to know if you think we're a friendly forum with friendly service.

When you signed up did you feel welcome here?
If so, why did you feel welcome?
If not, what would've you liked to have had?

Any input is apprecieated~ ^_^

My background as far as this board goes is very different from the rest of you.  You see, I was actually opposed to it at one time.  Well, more against this board's predecessor, SPCU. 

I had my own message board, and then some people came along and said "Guess what!?  We're making a new super message board to replace your's, isn't that great?"  No, I didn't think it was so great to have somebody tell me something I worked on wasn't needed anymore.  I never hated the people who made SPCU, I knew they only had good intentions, but I did hate the fact that it would take activity away from my board.  I never participated in SPCU at all, I refused to even announce it in my newsletter.  Eventually EE replaced SPCU, but my attitude stayed the same.  Little by little, my message board slowed down to almost no activity.  I think most of the people who still posted only did it as a favor to me.

Then one day I decided I should look at EE.  I think I just wanted to see what fans were talking about to maybe give me some ideas what I should write about in my newsletter.  I noticed some people here had questions that I knew the answers to.  So I put away my stubborn pride and registered, thinking it was more important to try and help other fans by sharing some of the things I've learned.  At first I stuck just to that, providing information to people with questions.

You might think that as someone who once refused to help out at all when I was asked, I might not be very welcomed by the staff or anyone else.  But the fact is that people treated me great.  And because of that, I started posting more.  I got to really like this place.  It's much better than any SPC message board that's ever existed.  EVERYONE here is nice, even if they don't agree on something.  Not only did the staff not have any resentment towards me, they were actually grateful to have me here.  Just look to your left by my picture, they gave me my own "Bunny Princess" title!  It's just a little thing, but it means very much to me because it showed me that I was welcome and appreciated.  I always was welcome, I just refused to let myself be welcomed before.  Well, I am a stubborn bunny, that's why I still love SPC after all these years.

And it pays off when you make people feel welcomed.  Not only do I post here now, but I try and help out where ever I can.

Gee...  Such was never my intention, especially after you told me how you felt about the situation. In fact, I pretty much avoided outwardly mentioning SPCU on the Nihonbare boards. Quite a few members didn't even know it existed.

My goal became to replace SPC_FAN's message board, because he'd given me the "okay" to do so.
Some Nihonbare members happened to also be frequent visitors of SPC_FAN's board.

No, of course you didn't actually say it like that.  That's just the way I took it at the time.  Anyway, don't worry about it, the problem was with me, not you.

And I didn't know exactly if there were any other people involved with running SPCU. as I said, I didn't go there.

All SPC Forums are awesome in their own sense. The number of members doesn't mean it's better, it's the content and what is shared that is important.

Nihonbare is a great board for invited-members only to discuss deeply what SPC/KNT means to us and share our thoughts on all subjects. SPCU and EE here are more of a melting pot, where everything is blended into one, then picked apart by forums (Fan Works, Off Topic, RPG Stuff etc etc.)

Each forum has it's own magic (hehe, no pun intended) and when people contribute properly, indeed no matter where we are, everyone wins.

I'm usually nervous towards newish things, but D-Mac and everyone have simply accepted me aboard.
So everyone, give yourselves a round of applause and thank you all for making me welcome.
I'm very happy with the first row of topics like SPC Mysteries & SPC/KNT Couples, working like charms. It helps shift a few questions off my mind.
It's cool to be with folk that share my interest in a cool anime. You all are among my kind of people.

To make a more serious reply, I like this place because it has the most members and with the most quality posts yet hasn't had any brawls since it started which I'm glad for.

Plus, it's on a more dedicated server, has a better staff and we even have Vi with us.
