Seriously, who throws a shoe? I know it is considered one of the most insulting gestures in Iraqi culture, but COME ON! of course W. dodge the shoes. He goes hunting with Dick C., so he must be quick to dodge anything.

thats pretty stupid of that guy throwing a shoe. what did he want to solve by that? btw, did he go into jail?

Nothing really. Like I said, that is the biggest insult that the Iraqis posses. Nothing is worst, not even death. ANd yes, he went to Jail, and he was questioned.

I hate to admit it, but I was hit by a shoe one time as well, struck me right on the nose. We had to go back to base because I wouldn't stop bleeding. The Corpsman wouldn't stop laughing after he figured out what happened. But then again, after getting shot at and RPG'd at, it was a nice change of pace.

I just read in the newspaper that in iraque a lot of people wants that guy out of the jail. they see him as a hero. my god, these guys just really search for war if you ask me. glad I live in peacefull holland  Grin

If you ask me, this incident pretty much epitomizes the general sentiment toward the Iraq invasion. Personally, I consider it a fitting goodbye message to the outgoing president on his last visit.
