At first, I didn't think I'd have anything to contribute to this thread, but after I started reading it, I found myself agreeing with a lot of people.
Especially the ones who want a DVD and more soundtracks released! Here is my
gigantic response:
I hate Good Bird. He's Bad Bird!
Good Bird is still awesome, even if his name isn't as cool (that's why I prefer to call him Karamaru, saves the trouble of choosing between the two). And in KNT, even if he stopped being a bad guy, he's still rivals with Yattarou, running his own pizza parlor as opposed to working with the Pizza Cats in the SPC version.
No hates from me, just some small annoyances. Could have had more

based episodes. Guido should have been able to use his finisher in the Catatonic too. Also, there should have been a continuity in SPC as well, like there was in KNT.
I wonder what Guido's finisher would be like. Just a bigger version of his normal slash (since Polly basically just did a bigger "Heart Breaker" for hers), or something else? And a more consistant continuity in SPC would be nice, but they do poke fun at themselves for not having one.

If any project were underway to make an SPC: The Abridged Series, I would see to it that the first gag on Episode 1 would involve that. Think: Duck Hunt.

Sometimes I daydream that when, someday in the future, KNT is released on DVD, the original 2 soundtrack CDs are rereleased along with a new one containing all the BGM that wasn't on the first two, and a big book featuring all the production drawings they can find is also released...

If you want to talk about recycled material, I'd have thought the suit-up/launch sequence and the battle entrance speech sequence would be easier targets.
Speaking of which, I always wanted to see what it looked like when Polly or Guido got their (regular) armor and bird armor on too. But as the main hero, Speedy's always stealing the spotlight. I can't really resent him for it, but still...
mama san and her son don't add anything to the show whatsoever, and i personally think it'd be better without them.
The show could have been done without them, but I think they added a nice touch of humor now and then. The part where Mother yells at one of the Doughboys and makes him explode is pretty funny. ^_^
But my pet peeve is the change in voices over the series.
A character's voice changing slightly like D-Mac mentioned doesn't bother me, but I HATE it when they redub certain voices for censorship purposes and you can OBVIOUSLY tell they don't sound anything alike. That's just annoying.

That used to be weird to me too, but now I think it's pretty cool. The only question this brings up for me now is... if the characters are all half-robot, and robot "monsters" are what they fight and destroy, isn't that kind of like they're killing them?
Or is it different somehow?
