I came across this post on a Japanese blog. It's something of a comparison between the two types of KNT model kits that were produced, the Edomae Sets (which are the ones that were sold preassembled in Europe) and the Mega-Up kits. You can see that they're pretty much the same size, although the proportions and details differ slightly. The Edomae Set seems to have more articulation.

Featured at the bottom of the post is an example of the cute little drawings that the included booklets are apparently full of (someone, adam808 I think, previously scanned some of these). Pururun is saying "Kawaiku tsukutte ne!" ("Build me cute!") to which Yattarou is replying "Muri da na..." ("Impossible..."). Grin

Yeah, that was what scared me away from the model kits. They looked like they would be pretty stiff as far as articulation goes and would take a lot of time to modify with Bandai's soft plastic joints that they like to use in Gundam kits these days. Think these kits pre-date Bandai's use of these soft joints, so it's not much of a surprise. Also can't seem to bring myself to buy a kit that's somewhat rare, and try to build it. The stress of knowing a screw up could be disasterous is too much =D

And this is why I haven't built a resin kit! =D
(But I own 2... Too scared... Too scared... =D)

But it's a cute iron fist.

One is the "Mega Pururun" http://membres.lycos.fr/spctoys/model.html which requires building and painting (if you want it to look good you need to paint it anyway).  The other is what I call the "action figure" version (Edomae Set) which is easy to put together and doesn't need painting http://membres.lycos.fr/spctoys/japanfigures.html

The "Mega Pururun" isn't that rare as far as KNT items go, if you have one, you shouldn't be too worried about building it.  I had the European versions of most of the "Edomae" which were prebuilt, but I didn't have Bat Cat so I built him from my Japanese set.  I'm a collector, but I want to enjoy my collection, not hide it away.  I do have some resin kits that I haven't built, but that's because I suck at that stuff.  Someday I'll get someone who's good to build them, or just practice on some other kits and do it myself.
