King Of Fighters

Does anyone play this game? i know i do!

My favorite character in it is Mai Shiranui, she rocks and is easy to combo with, atleast i think so. Also ralph is pretty good. Oh and the best kof is 98 but i also dont mine playing 2000.

so what do you think about kof?

OH MY GOSH! ANOTHER KOF FAN!
I love the KOF series! I've only played it up to KOF 2001 though. I personally like the Psycho Soldier team and the uh... That karate team with Ryo, Robert, and Yuri.

(edit: Actually, I pretty much like all SNK fighting games )

true but i got bored of mvc so i moved on to kof. Also i find that kof is more balanced than mvc is, basically every character has a chance agenst one and other in kof, but in mvc there are crappy charcters that cant do anything ( Roll, lilith ) and then there are characters that own it up ( wolverine, chun li, spider-man)

but thats just personal experience.

I've collected nearly every NeoGeo, CPS1, and CPS2 game that runs on WinKawaks. I ended up enjoying what NeoGeo has to offer a helluvalot more than CPS2. Marvel Verses Capcom just doesn't seem to have the same kind of, organization.. as King of Fighters 1994-2000 had. My only problem with KOF is that it got saturated with the Kyo and K' plot lines to where Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury and other Original Characters didn't matter and were only there for filler. Just like the WWF the KOF Roster got over crowded thanks to lousy rookies. I'd like it if all of the characters that have nothing to do with Orochi or K' or Kyo left the KOF scene and had their own game that had the same gameplay. Also, SNK verses Capcom is alot better than Marvel Verses Capcom 2, where everyone chooses Dr Doom, Magneto and Cable just to do the cheapest of the cheap stuff. I also hated how there isnt any Middle Punch or Middle Kick. You'd think with an increased amount of team mates they'd keep the number of buttons. I don't care if there are strikers on MVC2, the system sucks. Yeah, KOF only has 4 buttons too, but there arent ridiculous supermoves that can be done by a simple Down Down-Forward 2-Punch. Nah, instead you gotta do this Down Back Down Down-Forward that only takes a fraction of the damage, or a Down Down-Forward Twice. And then of course just about anything you do on MVC2 can increase your spirit bar.
