I wish I had a copy of that "Queer Eye for the Bad Guy" article Vi and I wrote for the Pizza Cats Review newsletter. Maybe it's in the thread somewhere.

This is a sensitive subject, but since you guys have already started the discussion, I might as well jump in and add my two cents. For starters, no, not all crossdressers are gay, but that doesn't mean they can't be. I'd say Ko'on/Big Cheese is definitely gay or bi, though I'm leaning toward gay personally. Even though his antics are all done for comedic purposes in the show, you'd have a very hard time if you wanted to prove he's completely straight.

Anyway, feel free to continue this discussion, but keep it polite like it has been so far. No flames or insults if you disagree with someone else's opinions.

Oh sorry I didn't see the old posts of KageReneko! The question is one: did somebody see ALL the japanese episodes for say an exactly answer to the question is Koon gay?
I think only if someone see all the japanese serie can answer correctly and explain a correct answer to the question

Well, there's no real way to know for sure, but he's definitely intended to have lots of stereotypically gay traits. Some of the other characters possibly think of him as such; I recall both Usahime and Karamaru calling him "okamagitsune" ("gay fox").

Felineki, did you see all the serie in japanese? I didn't know this particular about him (okamagitsune).
Well, Tigriss is right, the important is to be polite but I think nobody here insults each other is all ok. My opinion is this definitely: I haven't seen the original series in Japanese, so I cannot give a complete judgment of Big Cheese. I do not know if in the Japanese version he tends to make more references on his presumed homosexuality. For the time being, I believe he is only a crossdresser (not obligatorily gay) and all the several scenes " equivocal" they are only gags and jokes or something similar.

In fact, for me Koon is the japanese character that shows his homosexuality the most... Generally the gay characters are more reserved and subtle about their preferences (Tôya from Card Captor Sakura, Eagle from Card Captor Sakura, Haruka and Michiru/Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune from Sailor Moon) and although a crossdresser person isn't always a hay person I think that Koon's crossdressing just corroborates his preferences, in fact, except for a couple of moments I'd dare to say that Koon is a transsexual fox...

Right, I see some episodes in japanese (they are on YT) but I also can't understand the language.

I would exclude with no doubt that Big Cheese is a transesxual fox. I think that to demonstrate himself effeminate or with "girly behaviour" in a way so explicit, is only a difference regarding the series that you have cited, everyone represents his characters as wants.
