Tatsunoko vs Capcom Fanart Contest - Let's Promote SPC!

I was recently made aware of this contest, and it looks like an excellent opportunity for us to increase awareness of SPC amongst Capcom's staff -- especially if any chance remains of a Tastunoko vs Capcom sequel. Only one entry per person, and it must include at least one Tatsunoko element AND at least one Capcom element, even if it didn't appear in the previous TvC. This leaves SPC characters as fair game.

To enter, get creative! You can submit anything utilizing your arty skillz: drawings, animations, models/sculptures, cosplay, combo/tribute videos, photos of collections, even a personal story of your love of the game. Been to a previous Capcom event where you got your first hands on? Went to a launch party? Tell us about it! Additionally, we wll endeavour to show all collected content resulting from this contest to Tatsunoko Productions, 8-ing and Capcom, as a massive thank you to the various teams and individuals that took part in the game's production.

Closing date for all entries will be January 26th, 2011 @11:59pm (PST). Late entries will not be accepted.

Actually what most people dont know from an article I have read is that Capcom very much wanted the SPC in the game from all the fan response and they tried their hardest to get the Pizza Cats in but apparently due to conflicting copyrights and legal stuff that all round makes the world suck the SPC could not be included.

So its not beacause Capcom didn't want to add them cause they tried, it was all the lawyers saying "NO!"

I think Disney is largely to blame for this >=[

I too read about the producer at Capcom aiming to license usage of SPC from Tatsunoko, though the exact details on why this didn't pan out, weren't made very clear. Legal issues with Disney certainly are a major possibility, but at the very least I'm hoping if the demand is large enough, they'll be more willing to give it another try.

Wish I had more confidence in my drawing ability... I'd probably try and draw something involving Felicia and Polly.

As far as I know, Disney still has the rights, and since they wanted to release the game outside Asia, thats why the KNT werent included...
