Quite a diverse list there, sjonnoh, but I have to object to this one. Most parents these days both need to have jobs in order to provide for their family. They may also want to save extra money to have an emergency medical fund, or a college fund for said children. Only the rich or the fortunate get the luxury of a stay at home parent nowadays, especially in this economy. Please don't make snap judgments if you don't understand the situation.

I know the crisis in America is bigger but in the Netherlands the women easily can stay at home for taking care of the children.

Then I suppose it's different on a country-per-country basis, but I still think you can't make a blanket statement that people are neglecting their kids just for taking them to daycare. And although dads are participating in family matters and household chores much more now than they did in previous generations, I'd also like to see this continue and improve. There are a few stay-at-home dads, but they're still pretty rare. But either way, working or not, parents should take the time to be involved in their children's lives, that's the most important thing.

I could write a very long list of stuff I hate. But the thing I despise the most is those bloody reality contestant cooking shows, like Masterchef or My Kitchen Rules.

As a chef, my job is hard and stressful enough without morons, who have F-A knowledge of how the hospitality and cooking industries work, whinging when they have recieved their meals: "This is wrong. They do it this way on Masterchef".
