In this episode, we found Bad Bird kidnapping residents of Little Tokyo (nothing new there) to dig up a legendary treasure vault of gold ____.  Well, the ____ turned out to be fish.  Of course, the SPC came in and rescued the citizens after a clever exchange of words and some Narration that we're all too familiar with, including a new advertisement for the Ginzu Sword.  And that music...  I SWEAR I've heard that digging music on another show...

Well, anyway...

Positive

+  Narrator treated Ginzu Sword with a sort of sales pitch
+  Likewise, the engineer of the train was indeed bored
+  Lucielle's missiles hitting Bad Bird, always a plus
+  The digging music...  I KNOW I've heard it before...

Negative

-  It was pretty obvious what they censored in this episode

I have almost done the trascribing work of the respective KNT episode (Hore hore ana hore, motto hore). There are some obscure or inaudible words yet though. I hope finish it, to start translation to Portuguese and English. So have patience, perhaps you can watch subbed episode sooner than expected.

What did they censor? I can't remember anything like that!
Anyway, this is the first Pizza Cat I've ever seen, in early 90s. This seems to be the first story featuring numerous robots, instead of one. It also highlights BB's ruthless, even to Lucille. Of course he got blitzed because of that. I liked his minor threat to Lucille "Want a knuckle sandwich?" It seemed funny. Meowzma also made his debut here. Right environment for him anyway, underground.
Lucille proves her naive nature, yet caring nature when she stopped her slave work to care for a elderly slave and offered him an earthworm. Funny in some cases, especially Lucille's many blasts throughout.

A great episode, mainly because it features my favorite rescue team dude, Meowzma.

It was really funny that the treasure ended being a golden fish^_-.

Me neither...

I liked his minor threat to Lucille "Want a knuckle sandwich?" It seemed funny.

Her comeback was even better: "Only if you feed everyone else too!"

I also like his "threat" not to invite anyone to his birthday party. Like, who the heck would want to go to a party for him anyway!

If you watched the KNT episode, than you already know what fell on the cutting room floor. But for the rest of us who don't, it was deemed to violent to show the effects of Polly's claws on the poor ninja crows among other things (ouch!). That's how the cookie crumbles...

I took note of these while I was doing the timing for KNT #3. This is exactly what you missed if you watched the SPC version only.

*A small snippet of Sukashii talking in beginning of the ep.
*The message Omitsu left, which was replaced with a pawprint in the SPC version.
*In KNT we get a second look at the message. In SPC we don't.
*A shot of Yattarou talking.
*Omitsu buying her train ticket.
*Newpaper pressings, and large headlines appearing on-screen concerning the mystery of the disappearing train (all in Japanese, of course).
*Karamaru hitting Omitsu with his whip (you don't actually see it even in the KNT version. The hit is represented by a bright flash)
*The little storyteller who appears to tell us the story about the large goldfish. Also, the title and ending screen of the story.
*Pururun using her "Nyanki Ninpou Kakimushiri" on the crows (Badass!).

I think that's it. Anyone ever thought of making a "KNT/SPC uncensored"-type site? I think it'd be kinda interesting, just to see which footage most of the world missed out on.

A site like that would be great.

You see Polly charching at them but no effect, never noticed that. And Meowzma made a really smart entry digging through the bottem of the lake.  Roll Eyes

The best part about this episode is Bad Bird getting blasted by Lucille's missles three times.  You'd think he'd get the hint.

If they really wanted to portray the Big Cheese as the mortal enemy of the Pizza Cats, why isn't he a dog?
