Threaux, is your little quote under your avatar a reference to the band DragonForce? Because I Polly Love them.
Yes it is. And welcome fellow DF fan...
Proud and so glorious
Standing before of us
Our swords will shine bright in the sky
When united we come
To the land of the sun
With the heart of a dragon we ride!

Ah. Glad to hear that. I'm listening to them right now. "So now we fly and we're free, we're free before the thunderstorm!" But I'm getting off topic. Tongue

Canada fails at television networks. I don't think it's ever been shown here before.
I guess I'm gonna have to download an episode of it eventually if I'm ever going to see it.

You got that right. I think I actually only saw it on U.S.-bound trips.

Before I do though, can anyone tell me how the humor in this show stacks up? (Or if there's even any humor in its dialogue at all?)

Well, I don't think it comes close to the SPC kind of humour; it's more of an action-oriented show. It's always reminded me of Batman, although much "lighter". In my opinion, it doesn't have the mighty SPC script, but it does have much better production value.

And wow, I didn't realize people actually knew Dragonforce. I'm not a huge fan myself, but I know (locally) many who are/were/could be. I'm more into Rhapsody.

You got it all wrong, man.

None of these threads are dead.

They're just hiding.

I loved this show too and I'd nearly forgotten about it until I saw this thread.  On a side note, SetsunaKou are doing plushies of some of the characters if it's any help (if anyone could get some screen grabs of Callie, I'd love to get her made in some form).  Here's the link: http://www.setsunakou.com/ufo/swatkats.html

The Swat Kats were one of those shows that made me happy to get home from school in the afternoon. Since it's on Boomerang now (at least it was least I heard; it could've changed by now) and my parents aren't too keen on getting an extra cable package with the channel included, though...

Good news! An official series DVD set has been green-lit and will be available for purchase on 12/14/2010.

See: www.wbshop.com/Swat-Kats/1000181482,default,pd.html?AID=10811526&PID=3821628

These on demand DVD runs are a great outlet for fans of small, lesser known TV series to get DVD hard copies of their favorite shows and I hope BVHE takes cue from WB and makes SPC available in a similar manner sometime in the future.

Just found out about this; sweet!  Why are they only shipping to the US, though?  It's not fair!   Cry
