hiya,

i've noticed tigress is being an image size enforcer and is going through the forum resizing everything.

now, why do we not have the [imgres] tag that allows auto resizing based on the persons screen? i mean resizing something manually that is under 640x480 is just really daft, and completely unnecessary.

I see no big need in such tag. Most of us are posting the thumbnails as required.

But if we had the imgres tag, we wouldn't be required to post thumbnails.
It's a lot easier when posting pictures found online with imgres rather than with thumbnails because you don't have to re-host the image.

imgres seems to not be included in the "official" BBCode standard yet, that probably why SMF didn't implement it. Can someone point me to an imgres specification? Couldn't find an SMF mod that adds imgres functionality and I fear I don't have the time to start porting vBulletin stuff to SMF, or at least I read somewhere that vBulletin does have imgres.

Stupid mod keeping a secret from me that it can handle imgres.. Speedy Wink
It is installed, however didn't find a new tag in the message editor. Maybe manual imput of imgres only?
It's a bit too late to start researching this; might have a look at it tomorrow.

PM sent purrcat.

tells you what you need to do to get it to work.

(and to set the max preview size)

it's not a tag, it does it automatically, when someone uses the normal [img] tag.

Leave this image alone please tigress, it's going to be used to test the new forum code later on.

needs to be tweaked, as it's not 100% compatible with custom mods

Thank you, Purrcat! This feature will save us mods a ton of work and headache. And thank you to Tsuneko for suggesting this in the first place.

How about adding the tag button to the reply form?
