It's this episode that makes me believe that only Little Tokyo prefers a more traditional way of life. But then again this is America we're talking about. There's nothing traditional about the U.S.
What I mean is: Little Tokyo runs itself like ancient Japan while U.S is the modernized version of itself. Makes me wonder about other countries. In the SPC Universe, does England do the whole medieval thing? Is Istanbul still called Constantinople?

I would guess that England would do the Medievil thing. I used that idea for myself when making my version of the British Pizza Cats (Or the Royal Guard Pizza Cats).
And im guessing France would do the Renacance* Thing.

I'll keep it simple. My most favorite episode so far. I do think they just should've kept the original names. Did anyone notice Sundance Kid doing the Moonwalk?

One of my favorite episodes in the entire series. It goes right up there with Candid Kitties, Underground, Underwater, Undercooked, The Nuclear Potato, Pizza Bird Delivers, Gender Bender Butterflies, Bad Bird Uncaged, and of course, the Big Comet Caper.

Mission in Manhattan was all right, but it was basically a gimmick episode. The funniest parts were Polly's temporary crush and Big Cheese's entire family blowing up.
I saw that Big Cheese Family Explosion part on a Youtube SPC Funniest Moments Montage. It's a potential setup for the WTF BOMB! Right up there with Jerry Atric exploding for once (forgot what episode THAT was from, though).
But the idea about other parts of the world having Pizza Cat Counterparts must be an idea. I mean, what of the Pizza Cats of Russia, or the Irish Counterparts? OOH! Or how about the Transylvanian Pizza Cats, who would most likely be based on famous vampire hunters, namely the Belmont Clan, and the three Legendary Warriors whom Trevor fought alongside: Alucard, Sypha, and Grant!

Yeah, no necrobump, just not to make anyone mad.
Anyway, I would have to say my favorite is Mission In Manhatten.
The NYPC were actually really cool,
And am I the only one who thought they were
just going to be a pattlet swap of the SPC?
(smiley spam ftw lol) ,and I just thought it was all around good episode. And of
course second best is The Big Comet Caper. Third is Gender Bender Butterflies.
P.S. This is also my 600th post

Yeah, no necrobump, just not to make anyone mad.
Necrobumps are fine when they're relevant, so I've merged this here.
Funny story about this episode: A long time ago, someone (Hero Boy, I believe) had some of the US cut episodes hosted on his site. I downloaded this one, but I didn't have the right software to play the video, so I just listened to the audio instead. Skip to a few years later, and I obtained a tape with two KNT episodes on it, one of which was the counterpart to this episode. So I heard the audio for the SPC version first, but actually watched the KNT version before I saw the SPC version. As a result, I tend to prefer the KNT version, mostly because the cuts they made in the SPC version were stupid, and I like the music in the KNT version better.
Another fun fact: While you all know about the cuts made to the SPC version, did you know the KNT version has a minor cut scene too? I can only presume this was due to time restraints or budget concerns, the latter likely being the reason why you sometimes saw the characters (notably
and
) talking without moving their mouths on-screen (in SPC this was changed to the other character talking "off-screen"). If you watch KNT 54, the scene with Gennarisai's reaction to Ko'on and his relatives preparing to explode is different. The dialogue in the scene where the Nyanki meet Honey is also slightly different.
I hope you all paid attention during this highly informative trivia session. It will be on the quiz later.

I saw that Yattarou and Michael are not talking in this scene. But never actually wondered why. They do reuse some scenes such as Launch/Hissatsu but here we see the other side - the scene is missing. DIdn`t know such could actually be done for an anime.
Speedy voice in that scene reminds me of Walkie Talkie.
And that "Hey, bad boy... Oh, no" is surely no comparison to "Hey, you! Bad, bad you are bad"

All of them would continue being named Himitsu Ninja Tai besides their different fighting styles...

That's quite possibly my favorite example of Engrish in KNT. So unintentionally hilarious.

That doesn't make any sense. If they're not a ninja team, why call them one?

Hmm, it's something to think about, then. But since the NYPC are supposed to be Americanized counterparts of the Nyanki, we could just say that was why they were also a "Himitsu Ninja Tai". And ninja are supposed to specialize in different skills anyway, so who's to say there can't be ninja sharp-shooters or what have you?
Yes, I'm aware that it's a stretch, but it's as good an excuse as any, right? ^^;
