Hi. Since Xmas is in the neighbourhood, what would be more fun than listening to your xmas songs?
OK, maybe snow and xmas games but you'll understand. Here are some of my favourite and memorable xmas favourites.

I like: Slade: Here it is, Merry Christmas

Wizard- I wish it could be Christmas

Band Aid- Do they know it's Chirstmas (a upsetting song when you know the lyrics)

Paul Mccartney- Simply having a wonderful Christmas time

Wham (with George Michael)- Last Christmas

The Snowman- Walking in the air (So beautiful, it makes me cry)

Not a bad selection, heh?  Grin

But it's a cute iron fist.

My current job (which I'm going to lose after the holidays) subjects me to a lot of Christmas music, but it's really just their way of saying "BUY STUFF!!!  IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!  BUY! BUY! BUY!!"

So it's kinda ruined it for me this year.  I'm sorry I was a small part of making Christmas so commercial.

Anyway, favorite Christmas song is "Oh Holy Night" in German, because they never play that at the mall.  I heard it when I was little and it's been tucked away in my little brain ever since.

Carol of the Bells is my favorite x-mas song.  The Trans-Siberian Orchestra does a version with dual guitar harmonies and Legato picking.  It's cool because you find yourself playing air guitar to an x-mas song.

If you play guitar you can appreciate the skill involved with transcribing an entire classical work on a six-string.

I'm sick and tired of all the XMas stuff that my current job plays all day. So what do I do?

I whistle and sing lots of Depeche Mode songs. Especially the depressing ones from the Violator / Songs of Faith and Devotion era. Perks me right up, and makes all customers uneasy!
