Since it's Christmas time, why not review the xmas pizza cat special?

This is one of the few Big Cheese schemes motivated not by greed or want, but by vengence. Yep, Seymour has a personal vendetta against Jolly old St. Nick. So in Grinch, he poses as Santa delivering immovable masks to all the children, in hope of ruining Santa's reputation.

Personally, it was a way too obvious plot for me, but still quite enjoyable and the first shell of the weekly robot is really hilarious, even Speedy agrees. It looked a lot like a drunk with party hat.

Normally, businesses are not opened on Christmas day, but the emporium is an exception. No holiday rest for the Pizza Cats.

It is also the first time you see a human (Santa Claus) looking down on a world mostly populated by anthropomorphic animals.

The Golf-Girl robot proved to be a worthy opponent, almost nailling Speedy to a tree and bursting a hole through Guido's Parasol.

A special kind of dust weakens the glue effect of the masks. Maybe saw dust, but I'm not so sure.

Not bad, but the plot was a little bit obvious. May not be up there with other classic Christmas specials, but one hloiday edition of SPC wouldn't murder anyone.

To SPC fans & forum members: Merry Christmas! And A Happy New Year!

I liked the KNT version of this episode, especially the opening scene. It was cute that Pururun was the only one who still truly beleived in Santa (well Koon-No-Kami also did, of course), and everyone else mocking her for it. Yattarou singing his own version of "Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer" was amusing as well. The SPC version just didn't have as many highlights, but it's still an OK Christmas ep. The evil-mecha-of-the-week was cool!

I first saw it online
I am quite puzzled on WHY this episode wasn't shown here in the US
The episode was a tid bit funny
but, it sort of ripped off "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" a wee bit

Polly: Look! Big Cheese is going to escape!
Speedy: Not while I can pull out great props from NOWHERE!

Greatest quote ever. Well, one of them. XD

I Loved the 'Monty Python' reference (Speedy vvas originally singing 'Rodolph'? Not as funny!)  Grin
I think it vvas banned in America  cause of the small vvink at homosexuality via vvhen Jerry comes out of the stocking.  Roll Eyes
But I thought it vvas hilarious, especially vvhen Speedy is laughing at the robot. 'For THIS I'm suppposed to say my prayers?! OK, jokes over!'
