I recently cancelled my cable tv and switched to Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime (along with an antenna).  Anyway, Hulu has a ton of anime available to stream, most notably just about every Discotek title.  Now, I plan to pre-order the KNT/SPC DVDs, but I just I thought I would mention this and see if anyone knows for sure.  If so, it would be a great way to introduce new fans to the series as well.

Hulu huh?  This is interesting news.  There's TVs out there with Internet connectivity (and devices like Boxxie (sp?), Roku, etc to get TVs without said connectivity) to access these 'channels'.  It's going to be the big thing very shortly as network TV continues it's slow death spiral.  A-la-carte' entertainment is the big thing consumers want more and more of.

Keep us up-to-date on this.  While I too, will be buying the DVD sets, it's always nice to have a high-quality online streaming source for those 'quick fixes' when I'm at my computer.

Would be great to create new fans, I think there is only one problem with Hulu though.. It isn't available in my country (only in the USA I believe). Perhaps they will go internationally, you never know. First it will be ordering the dvd's for international fans I guess.

Well, it's not that Hulu is not available.  You can access the site.  The problem is content delivery, which is dictated by local copyright law.  Unfortunately, most anime is only cleared for the North American region.  (Think R1 in DVD region lingo)

So basically (using our beloved SPC as an example), if Saban Brands LLC / Tatsunoko hasn't 'cleared' the rights for SPC to run anywhere but North America (Canada and U.S. mainly), if you're from England, for example, you're probably outta luck.

This is why Hulu isn't popular at all with people outside North America, but it's not the content hosts' (Hulu's) fault.  Blame the studios and various tanglings of copyright laws, the DMCA, the Bernine Convention, the DVD / BluRay consortiums (who set up all the various regions in the first place), etc etc.

Best route is as you said.....order (I'm guessing import) the DVDs from here.  Better have a region-free player though.  Discotek probably follows the rules, and as such, they will be R1 discs.
