Those who have preordered.. start waiting anxiously by your mailboxes... my copies came in yesterday!!  Speedy Wink

I have some issues with some of the subs... but overall the animation is nice and clean... watched the first two episodes with my family last night!

Will take pictures if requested.

Just thought I would put my initial 2 cents in, my copy arrived yesterday also.  The video and sound are excellent for the time the source material was produced, but unfortunately I have 0.0 knowledge of Japanese so I can't comment on the subs.  I'll put up some more thoughts later, I just have to resist the urge to marathon these in order to finish some stuff for that Pizza Mod Delivers thread right now.

Glad to hear they're arriving safely. I have a couple questions: Is "Teyandee" (as in Yattarou's verbal tic) subititled as-is, or did they translate it into something? And how did they translate the "tenka muteki no daishouri" catchphrase?

Teyandee is translated into all sorts of things depending on when it's said

In terms of creating a natural-sounding translation, I suppose that's the best way to go about it. However that method seems like it would run into problems with some of the self-referential humor that relies on it being a distinct phrase. Like the Professor explaining to the audience that "Teyandee is Yattarou's catchphrase!" or another character saying "teyandee" and Yattarou complaining about them stealing his line.

But it's a cute iron fist.

Mine came yesterday, and I didn't "pre-order" until the day they announced they were shipping.

......and I sit and wait for mine to come yet. (pre-ordered on the 24th of April).

Rightstuf and their delaying of order status updates until the middle of the night.  >_<  I only ordered through them because I've been buying my anime and other related things there since 1998....first via their thick print catalog, then online shortly thereafter.  They can be slow sometimes, but it's about trust for me over anything else, especially online.

I know this much.  I'm going STRAIGHT to Discotek themselves for that SPC box set once pre-ordering is up....end of story.  Has anyone here had luck ordering through their site, that is, was the transaction and all that smooth sailing?

=======
Edit:

Aaaaand, I just got the email notice yesterday morning (Wed, around 5AM) that it got shipped out.

I want KNT in my grubby paws for a little weekend mini-marathon.  With luck, it should be arriving today.

That's how I ordered, pretty easy, no problems.

I can sympathize with the frustration. I preordered Feb 26 off Rightstuf, and got a note today that it'll be shipped in the next 48 hours

Spartacat, I just saw my note yesterday as well (per my edit in my last post).  It's weird how their systems work, since while I did get the notice, the change hasn't been reflected yet in my account page showing past orders.

Can't wait.  Also as an aside, I will be sure to personally thank the folks at Discotek for getting KNT/SPC out there to us fans.  They're holding down a booth's worth of exhibitor space at the anime con I'm attending mid-month (Anime Central), so I'm making double-sure to do that.  Doing so just through virtual means like Facebook doesn't cut it.
