My all-time fave: Majora's Mask. I used to think like everyone else, that Ocarina of Time was a better game by far. But after playing it through, I saw just how wrong that was. The game itself has an ulimited replay factor because of its so-called "time limit." That was what I and everyone else was leery of: Zelda with a time limit. But it is not a time limit. MM has expanded on the daytime/nighttime element of Ocarina of Time. There are three days and nights, and each day/night has twelve hours in which certain events take place or certain people can be found doing something. Depending on if you help someone on the first day, you might be able to give them assistance on the second day and so on. For instance, if you save the local ranch from a cow-snatching on the first day, you can help them again by protecting the milk delivery to the town on the second day. But the ranch is blocked off on th first and second days because of a large boulder, meaning by the time you are able to actually get in, the cows have been stolen and there is nothing you can do. Some quests even last through all three days, making you run around to meet different people and help them out of jams. And if you reach the end of the third day(The reason there are only three days is explained in the game), you merely have to play your Ocarina to take you back to the Dawn of the First Day, keeping your items, but resetting all the events, even dungeons. It is possible to do everything over and over again as much as you like. It is truly a great game.  Wink

One of my other favorites is Super Smash Bros. Melee. I've heard people say it isn't as good as the orginal because it's different.  Roll Eyes I liked it better because it was different.

A couple my fave series: The Sonic series. Probably my favorite game series. The Wario Land series is another one I enjoy quite a bit, Wario being the Mario character I like the most. The Kirby games, River City Ransom, Megaman, the Mother trilogy, the Mario series itself... There are very few games I play that don't become a favorite of mine. ^-^

YES! I told you that you'd love that game! Grin
I haven't played it in a while, so I'll go back and figure out how to get past there. Cool

EDIT: Alright, I've got it. Look up on the ceiling in that room where the bomb is, you'll see glass part that can be broken. Use SLOW to punch the bomb up to that part of the ceiling. Speedy Wink

Actually, that top 5 list there was my friend.

He was over for a piano lesson as I was checking the forums here, and I just asked him what his top 5 games and anime were.

Guess he just prefers CC over CT.

Never knew he was a Cybersix fan though, I burned him the whole series onto a DVD for a reward for having a good lesson.

I never played Chrono Cross, but I've heard it's not as good as the first one.

(People probably say that because it's not EXACTLY the same as Chrono Trigger)

5.  Chrono Trigger (SNES)
4.  WarioWare: Mega Microgame$ (GBA)
3.  Resident Evil 4 (GCN)
2.  Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
1.  Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PSX)

Out of the five, Resident Evil 4 and WarioWare were both surprises -- I wasn't expecting them to be as good as they turned out to be.  I knew the other three were going to rock (metaphorically speaking, of course), and I was right.  You'll notice that RE4 is really the only one that doesn't fit a trend of light-heartedness, but it was so good that I liked it in spite of the massive violence and such, which I usually find to be a turn-off.  Also, Tron Bonne is the coolest video game heroine in existence, period.

5. Halo (PC, first shoote/most overpowered starting weapon)
4. TES: Morrowind (Mucking big RPG, lots of content)
3. Final Fantasy 7 (Took me '01-'06 to beat, 'cause I max my chars)
2. Spyro the Dragon Series (PS ones only)
1. World of Warcraft (First game to make me question my approach to videogaming)

I really should get around to playing MGS 1 (Played MG:S 2/3) and the N64 Zelda games.

It's good to know we got more Halo fans here. I was starting to think I was the only one.

Fear not, I know several Halo fans.  Cool

I don't care too much for the game. It's fun, but I've never enjoyed first-person shooters. Undecided

So I got stuck in Viewtifull Joe again, in that cursed aircraft full of oversized missiles, And I cant find a way to pass the part with the missile launcher, even turning the aircraft upside down.

PS: I finally got Kingdom of hearts 1, is a good game.

my top 5 fav games of all time, and why:

1. final fantasy 7. incidentally i associate SPC and FF7 together since GD and Ex got me into playing the game. best game ever. period.
2. mario 3. nostalgia.... my cousins, sisters, friends and even my father were obsessed with that game, and it made for such a great family passtime.
3. DDR. don't laugh or i'll TSUBARU all over your backside. that game saved my sister from doing worse things when she had to be on steroids, and it's helped me tone up. I'd like to see how your FPSs help with THAT.
4. super puzzle fighter 2 turbo. i will annihilate anyone who dares to oppose me in this game. Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers...mmm.... sweet deal.
5. yoshi's island. ...i'm a freaking girl, gimmie a break! sheesh. like you didn't see THAT one coming.

Personally, I think Super Mario Bros. 3's the best platformer ever. Can't beat that Hammer Bros. Suit.

Anyway, my 5 faves (in no particular order) are:

1. Super Mario Bros. 3 (after SMB1 defined the 2D sidescroller, SMB3 expanded upon and improved everything that was great about the original)
2. Chrono Trigger (I don't like RPG's much, but this is one of the two that I really liked, Super Mario RPG being the other)
3. Super Street Fighter II Turbo (the ultimate revision of SF2, and IMO the best. It's interesting to play because it retains much of the "old-school" gameplay found earlier in the SF2 series while introducing some of the more complex systems that would come to define the newer generations of 2D fighters)
4. Vampire Savior (aka Darkstalkers 3; Street Fighter's sister series has some great character designs and animation and is a blast to play)
5. Tyrian (a vertical shooter with a fun upgrade-purchasing system and great music)
