Top 5 Favorite Video Games

I've heard great things about Chrono Trigger, and had been really wanting to play it.

While watching the bonus disc from Final Fantasy XII, I noticed that "Final Fantasy Chronicles" had Chrono Trigger on it.  Then I was like "Wait...don't I have Final Fantasy Chronicles lying in my room?"

Needless to say, I'm quite happy now.

I felt Chrono Trigger was a tad overrated. Not FF7 overrated but just a little bit. However, I still had a lot of fun with it. Awesome battle system and Frog is the best character ever.

I would like to have played the Japanese version. I heard that they majorly changed Frog's personality in translation.

I'm adding Okami to my list of favourite games. And what a frippin' awesome game that is, too (although it's as hard as nails )! Honestly, it's 'up there' with Klonoa as one of my most favourite games of all-time and it's not because it has a huge bandwagon. Okami is one of the only things I can think of that deserves its hype. It's that awesome.

TF2 is still my fave game at the moment, I doubt that anything will top it for a while.

Dude, I still play Mischief Makers when I have the chance.

The XBox 360 we have here is, in my opinion, worthless without live, so I haven't enjoyed any of 360 games.

My top five:

#5: Call Of Duty 4- The next best thing about being a Marine? Playing a video game where you can play as one. (Hardcore mode FTW..I MISS LIVE!)

#4: Guitar Hero- Who knew. Even if I found that some songs were easier to play in a real guitar than in the game, I had fun with this one.

#3: Pokemon Pearl- I always loved Pokemon, and the addition of Wi-Fi made this one awesome... even if I always got my ass handed to me by a ten-year-olds.

#2: Mischief Makers- One of the best games ever! The level design, the music, the bosses, everything awesome. Extremely complicated to earn all the gold gems, but well worth the effort. Shake, Shake!

#1: Rock Band 2- The boys and I just received this one yesterday from the States, and, well, WHO CARES ABOUT GUNS WHEN YOU HAVE PLASTIC INSTRUMENTS!

Ironically, the Sonic Mega Collection was the last great Sonic game ever released.

It seems as though every new development of a 3D Sonic game is like: "Yah we know the previous ones were sh*t, but this one, we promise, is going to revive the franchise. We've learned from the mistakes of the past."

... and every time I've believed them at one point. I believed it for Sonic '06 and Unleashed.

I don't even want them to work on a new game anymore. I want them to focus on making and perfecting a game play style where playing as Sonic feels like the fastest thing you've ever played. And I don't want to run on tracks anymore. Give me a wide open world to run through.

Cloud Boy, whoever said Pokemon training was easy only trained long enough to get to the point where he could cheat with the Missingno glitch.  I'm about to go beat the Elite Four with six Pokemon I trained legitimately.

You guys sound as if you didn't enjoy the Adventures or Heroes. One could say that the only bad 3D game was 06. And there are still 2D Sonic games being made. I highly recommend buying Rush, Rush Adventure, Rivals, and Rivals 2.

Well, I finally did it.  I absolutely crushed the Elite Four without mercy.  I also picked up Dragon Ball: Origins for the DS, Legacy of Goku 1 and 2, and Harvest Moon: FOMT (all games I've been looking for) during Gamestop's Buy 2, get one free sale.
