This sort of counts as a Video Game topic I guess... I was talked into trying Gaia (online game/role play thingie). So who else is on there? (so I can have more than one person on my friends list.)

I admit that's one of the main problems Gaia suffers from. Forums should reward posters for making quality posts, not just post post post... The best way to achieve this IMO is to use an awards system (like best post of the week or best quote of the week). TMA's message board is the only place I know that does this (well, at least they used to...)
Unfortunately, because Gaia is so huge, I just don't see this ever happening. Maybe it could happen in the guilds, but there's no way you can have one guy look at every single post in the main forums and judge who's made the best one because quite frankly there's so many of them...
What really shocks me is that the admins actually archive everything that's posted in Gaia... I find it hard to imagine why they would bother to archive even garbage posts like 'bump' threads and whatnot...
