Cheesy lines and bad puns are part of what make this show so great!

But it's true!

If you actually sit down and carefully listen and only focus on the dialogue one SPC, you'd see how terrible (yet funny) it really is!

It's randomness at it's finest, and that's what makes it such a great series.

Well, as far as I can tell ya. Little Tokyo is a city that has an atmosphere of feudal Japan with a futuristic twist (with modern technology). And the characters are like robots with animal features. That's just the brief description of what the animation looks like in the SPC series. If that doesn't help then look at a couple of SPC episodes and just look at the background of those episodes. That should help. Hope that helps and works for you. Give us any updates on what has happened so far.

Im not sure if suggestions for story plots are used up here, but I was thinking if the BC had a tunneling bot or machine that causes buildings to collapse. Im not sure what he'll use it for, Id say that he knows the Pizza Parlors there base and he plans to level it to the ground.

Hmm... If there's gonna be an ancient Ninja Crow warrior, perhaps he could use some ninja trick to make the cats face evil versions of themselves! Like... The Shadow Pizza Cats!! With black armor and a sinister look. That'd be so awesome!!  Grin

Believe it or not, Dark Pizza Cats--brainwashed clones--were the villains for the aborted sequel to Crimson Dawn, "Mirror, Mirror".

Crimson Dawn, an SPC episode?  Sorry, but that made me laugh.  Guido Smirk  I'll try to explain this in a single post so we don't end up dragging this thread off-topic.

"Crimson Dawn" was a work of fanfiction I penned back in the summer of 1998.  It was the first of what was intended to be the three-part "Endgame" series, comprised of "Crimson Dawn", "Mirror, Mirror", and "Final Hunt" (working title).

Obviously, this was back when I was still a pretty big fan of the SPC, and I wanted to pick up the story of what happened after the Big Comet Caper.  I also wanted to approach the series from a more serious angle than most--the majority of fanfiction I read was written in the style of the show itself, with a narrator and over-the-top humor and whatnot.  These things turned me off to the show itself, so I eliminated them in favor of writing a story with a darker, more action-oriented tone.

Reaction to the fic was generally positive, and even garnered me a few fans who bordered on the fanatical.  At 200+ pages in length, it's easily the longest work of SPC-based fiction ever written, and being 14 the time, I was quite proud of the accomplishment.  However, being older and wiser, I can look back and say that the story is pretty awful; the main character is one of my own creation, whom I named "Jonas Miles" after the psuedonym I was writing under at the time (I don't remember where the "Jonas" part came from--possibly the movie "Twister"--but I do remember that "Miles" was taken from Miles Prower, the real name of "Tails", Sonic the Hedgehog's sidekick).  Jonas was tremendously overpowered as a character, and so he ended up really stealing the thunder from the SPC themselves.  He was intended to be a human, but a final draft of the story written after its publication (which was only shown to one fan, and then lost in a hard drive reformat) revealed "him" to really be a version of Polly from a future that had been devastated by the Big Cheese.

There are other flaws; it was written in a script format, so it's hard to read, and there are various comments strewn throughout that really make it sound pompous and pretentious.  And it is.  But that's okay; it was the first full-length story I'd ever written, so I'm not surprised it turned out to be crappy.  I've gotten a lot better, as I hope to illustrate once "Star-Crossed" is completed and published, hopefully before the end of this month.

For those who never read it, here's a mirror of Crimson Dawn on the now-defunct Ninja Crow's Dojo.  That character on the icon in the upper left is none other than Jonas himself (lovingly crafted by way of some very poor Paintshop Pro skills and a scan of Dr. Doom from a cover of Wizard magazine).

And that's all I have to say.  We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

I know this is kinda wordy, so if Burkey or another mod wants to move it to Fan Works or something, that's fine by me.

I think a more accurate description of the atmosphere is closer near the end of the Samurai age, around the same time that "The Last Samurai" was set. And it kind of fits. There were firearms (primitive) and yet there was still an empire in place. The only real difference between the actual era and the SPC/KNT version of the era is the presence of semi-automatic firearms (as evidenced in Francine's Colt Revolver, which functioned as the trigger system for the launch cannon), the presence of modern conveniences such as a sewer system, electricity (not to mention the electric devices), and a telephone network being the most prominent example. Oh, and ginormous robots. Can't forget that.

Now to think of the sort of characters to make, we need to know is this going to be a more serious and dark story (like Crimson Dawn)...which mean we can create really nasty fellons, or is it going to be closer to the original, meaning we would have to make ones based similarly apon existing ones, I myself have created many characters who border these two lines and yet fit into SPCs style.
