Anyone here familiar with this?
Recently, I've gone interested in this.
The funny story of a young Martial artist and his father who were cursed when training in China. Now, every time they're splashed with cold water, they change.
The boy Ranma into a girl and the father Genma into a panda. Only by hot/warm water can they change back.
To make matters worse, Ranma is engaged to the youngest daughter of Genma's old friend, Souma Tendo. Now the engaged pair don't exactly what to marry each other, as they constantly bicker & fight.
Ranma's troubles don't end there, far from it, there's a mad chinese amazon who's in love with his male side, but wants to kill his female side, a highly skillednutcase who fancies his female side and a lifelong rival who too has a curse. But becomes a little black pig.

The anime is pretty funny. Ranma never seems to get a break.

Maybe because you don’t like the mix of humor, transgender, martial arts and romance.

Well Ranma ½ is the kind of humor 80% of people likes, he/she? is just from the other 20%. Not everything can be loved as much as “El chavo del ocho”or "Wayne's World".

Talking about popular things that always stay in your heart, who doesn’t like "Mork & Mindy", "Mork del planeta Ork"?

I read some of the mangas and it's a funny read.  I would definitly recomend it

I like it  Found the Mangas to be quite comical, so later I went in search of DVDs. Got series 4-7 on eBay. Something interesting I read somewhere is that in the Japanese version, Ranma and Ryoga were voiced by the same seiyu who voiced Yattaro (Speedy) and Karamaru (Bad Bird) in KNT.
My favourite character in Ranma would have to be the hilarious Kuno

That's right. Didn't see that coming at first. Coincidently, that same that voices Yattaro & Ranma, also did Inuyasha.

I have seen several fav Ranma eps. Courtesy of Youtube. I'm unsure whether to suggest a DVD of Ranma 1/2 for Christmas.

Some chars I like: Genma, Mousse, Ryoga.
