TOPPLED dictator Saddam Hussein is being tormented in jail – by being forced to watch HIMSELF in South Park.

The evil tyrant is portrayed in the movie version of the cult cartoon as the Devil’s gay lover.

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut was banned in Iraq on its launch in 1999 for showing Saddam as a homosexual.

The film featured him trying to take over the world with Satan.

He is currently behind bars in Iraq as he stands trial on charges of genocide.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone yesterday revealed Saddam is made to watch the movie “repeatedly” by the US Marines guarding him.

Speaking at Edinburgh TV Festival, Matt said: “I have it on pretty good information from the Marines on detail in Iraq that they showed him the movie.

“That’s really adding insult to injury. I bet that made him really happy.”

The American animators also confirmed that Tom Cruise threatened to pull out of all publicity for Mission Impossible III unless Paramount, which also makes South Park, axed a repeat showing of an episode lampooning him.

It showed a Scientologist character called Tom Cruise struggling to come out as gay. Cruise was dumped by Paramount last week.

Wow, that's pretty cool.  I've never really watched much south park but it is kind of poetic justice to see that happen.  I also think it's clever that they left him under guard of the United States Marines, who are the some of the toughest armed forces personel around.  I'm sure they are having fun with him. South Park and the crew that work on it are real fighters for Freedom of speach.  Without thier work on Team America: World police, how would we know that Kim Jong Il is an evil cockroach bent on world domination?

OK, seeing this fact as a joke would be very funny. I watched this movie months ago, and it makes me laugh.

However war isn't funny, nor fair. The war is fair only for who were stronger, and won it. Sorry if I'm sounding bitter now.

Saddam is not anyone to feel any pity for, no matter how you may feel about the war, so this is funny.  It's not South Park's fault, they just work with whatever happens to be going on in the world.

as much as i won't even touch South Park, i still think Saddam deserves that kind of humiliation. (well, that's what i'd call it. ^^; ) i'd like to know how exactly he reacted at first sight; maybe it will make him even more insane.

as for Tom Cruise, that reminds me of what i saw on a commercial for Scary Movie 4. i found that it was re-enacting that one time when Cruise was going crazy over -- who was it, Nicole Kidman? -- while he was on Oprah. i never saw the real thing myself, but my sister was talking about it. so, that's how i recognized it when i first saw the ad.

i guess threatening to cut ties with Hollywood producers is common among movie stars, especially if they can't take a joke. Bing Crosby was like that, when he threatened to hold a cease-and-desist order on Warner Bros. for making a cartoon that not only lampooned him, but also depicted his animated version as a coward.

Actually, Cruise was going crazy over his now-wife.

Tom-Kat is quite the nickname they have for each other.

I don't wish to make a flame or something, but can't be quiet either. I know Saddam hasn't been the most tender person of the world, but this doesn't give an excuse for anyone to torture him. Yes, Saddam tortured people, but if we trusted that "eye for eye, tooth for tooth", we all end up blind and toothless.
I have nothing againt the folks behind South Park, they can make a laugh from Saddam. Nevertheless, a prisoner must not be humiliated by mean any excuse.
Sorry for saying so, but I think some things said here are unsuitable for this kind of board. If I was an Iraqi, probably would be upset.

I agree whole-heartedly with you Daisensai: I'm quite frankly surprised that this topic floated around as long as it did. But to add to it:

Let us not forget that even though Saddam has orders the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands of Iraqis, that over 400,000 Iraqis have died since the US invaded in 2003 (not counting the deaths of the first Gulf war).

Perhaps he is a monster, and deserves his treatment.  But who of any of us here should be allowed to call him one?

I can call him one. Just watch me.

He's a monster; purely evil, and not in the good way evil like me.

Let him stretch.

Frankly, I just get tired of the "Saddam is evil and the US (Government) is saintly" tirade, which the media has paraded around for 3+ years.  All we really end up with are more corpses.

That's politics for you, it's a double edged sword.

I'm from Canada so I guess I'm not part of the "American saintly" way of acting.

Although I hear he never actually consummated his first marriage...

Maybe he just didn't have the time with his busy Hollywood schedule. Wink
