I did this for many Animes, so there should be one for the Pizza Cats too.

Basically, you list ways that people can tell that someone's too much of an SPC/KNT nut.  I'll list some examples and let you people take it from there.  Feel free to post as many times as you want, but no double-posting.  That's the only rule.

Well, let's start.

You might be too much of an SPC/KNT nut when:

1:  You have downloaded all of the KNT and SPC episodes on your hard drive, in three different formats, and refuse to delete the older ones, despite the fact that you only ever watch the new ones. 

2:  You've written at least one FanFic using a character from another show or game and having them meet the Pizza Cats.

3:  You've ever actually made any of the strange pizzas featured on the show.

4:  You've invented an SPC D20 game and regularly play it with your friends.

5:  Your plans for winning the lottery (or the monetarily equivalent) involve redesigning your neighborhood into Little Tokyo/Edo, making your house the Pizza Cat Pizzaria, and hiring actors (including someone who cross-dresses) so you can play SPC/KNT for real.

6:  Somehow, you've done it.  With your 260 IQ, you've actually managed to create a robot that can get pregnant and have babies.  Now you just need to create one for each Little Tokyo resident.

7:  You say, "Kaboom, Ka-Ping, Ka-Powie!" every time you fire a Paintball Gun or BB Gun.

8:  You've ever at one point or another gotten so mad at someone that you just blurted out the line, "Ninja Crows, Attack!!!".

(Ok.  Now let's see what you all can come up with.)

Tsuneko, I greatly appreciate how you've been busting yer tail the past so many months to make those awesome encodes, but keep in mind the SPC community has got years and years of history behind it.

Without the contributions of many old-school fans, (some of which date back to 1997) the SPC online community probably wouldn't exist to this day.

Well, I'm one of those "old school" fans who's been at it since 1997.  I think I've done a good share of contributing.  I DO really love the work you've done Tsuneko.  Maybe you don't "beat" us, but you can join us! ;-)

i have a reasonably slow PC when it comes to graphics and video. It took me too damn long to encode a life with louie episode. I gave up on it until I get faster and better stuff.

A week and a half ago, my family drove from Toronto to Montreal. The deck for my grandmother's cottage had collapsed so me, my older brother and my father were going down to help our other relatives with stuff like chopping wood. This is how I know I'm an SPC nut. The whole way to Montreal I shook my fists at every crow our car passed by. There was one incident when a crow was standing in the middle of the road. I rolled down the window and yelled "GET OFF THE ROAD WORM BREATH!"

Already did KNT 1&2 subs re-encoding, Xvid codec and wav in an Avi file, I don’t think anyone owns wav, is 100% supported in every Os I have ever used...I wish I could use ogg in a avi, but I haven’t found a freeware/open source program to do that yet.

Now I’m encoding KNT 1 sub in a huge mpg1 to see how well it works in slow computers...

Back on topic, I dreamed that Tsukeno re-encoded KNT opening and ending videos in HD and showed them in an anime convention…people in my dream asked, "Wow, is that a new anime or something?"

PS: Have you tried Freedos? It reached version 1.0!. Too bad the cursed TNt2 doesnt have a driver for DOS....

but me re-encoding KNT... well i don't think the community needs my LaserDisc encodes.. we have a team on KNT already!! stop thinking of more work for me to do lol.

As for making something work on a P100

the CineVideo or Indeo 3.x codec's work fine on a P100

as do ASF (Audio/video streaming file) - but for linux... well just merge Videolan player

problem solved. it's open source and has divx and other mpeg4 compatibility.

Been there, done that...

I used mpg1 for video and mp3 audio compression, it worked fine on windows 95 pentiun 100 and 16 mb of ram. My original idea was to try it on Freedos, but the TNT2 doesn’t have DOS drivers so my second machine is stuck with windows98SE.
 
And for Linux, almost every video format works, the problem is the audio, unfortunately the best I could do was wma2, I really need a list of free audio formats. Sure I could just get the plugins for Totem, but where is the fun in that?.

free audio codecs for linux... hmm to name a couple.

FLAC, APE (i believe), ogg Vorbis (you need to merge support for it however using the Lib files), Mpeg 1 and 2 audio are available also via their merged components

Okay! So here's what happened. This evening, my family and I went out to Burger King for dinner. It came time for me to say what I wanted to order.

What Mechadon meant to say: "High! I'll have a Baked Potato and a Large Root Beer with no ice."

What Mechadon actually said: "High! I'll have a Nuclear Potato and a Large Root Beer with no ice."

The worst part is I didn't realize I said anything wrong. There was an awkward silence between me and the girl taking our order. And of course my family was looking at me funny as well.

Finally, after a few seconds, my Brother says: "Connor, you said Nuclear Potato."

This was one of my most embarrassing moments within 6 months. But now I just can't stop laughing. I'm glad it at lease had something to do with SPC.  ;)

I did something a little like that, But it was in The Elder Scrolls IV, and I named my Khajiit warrior Speedy Cerviche.

I'm about to become guilty of the fanfiction one.  I do this story featuring the Animaniacs in different parodies and crossovers, and the Pizza Cats are next.  As for my reasons of Pizza Cat insanity:

1. You wonder why in the heck there wasn't a Pizza Cats game on the Super Nintendo or N64, since the show didn't even come here until '96.

2. You learn all you can about that technology and create your own game (personally, I think all SPC should be is a platformer).

3. You dedicate your life to seeking out merchandise.

4. You name certain Pokemon after the characters.

5. You think you're the only one who has it bad for one of the attractive female characters.

6. You really, really hate Disney because they consider releasing crappy movie sequels a higher priority than taking a couple seconds to release the show on DVD.

I am so totally 4-6!

At your work (especially if it's a pizza parlor), you make up rhymes like Francine while talking on the phone to customers.

You actually visit a Pizza Cat fan site despite the fact that you are in the middle of an active  war zone.

You try and learn the Kamehame...wait a second, wrong series.  Moving on...

You study the design of the characters so you can make your own merchandise.

You want to use the Cat's Eye Slash on Disney executives because they won't release this show on DVD anytime soon.

You apply for a job at a pizza place, only to discover you don't get shot out of a cannon to deliver pizzas.

I don't feel sorry for her.  :/ Though I totally dig an emotionally unstable character who's wired to a missile system, I've never really liked her in terms of personality. She's only good for cannon fodder, which Francine thankfully capitalizes on.

Sometimes I name characters after forum members.

I guess I've always had a soft spot for Lucille.  I mean, I'm all right with Polly and Speedy, but like it's been mentioned before, it seemed so sudden in SPC.  I was thinking about naming some of my Pokemon after SPC characters, but I guess that's for another quest.  I'm playing Leafgreen, so I get a second quest with brand new (at the time) Pokemon and new lands to explore, after taking care of the Elite Four, that is.  I'll save the SPC names for that one.

I named my starter Speedy in that one... yeah, I nerd.

When one devotes so much time and energy into a community, to write and organize and get to know people, that it actually starts to affect you IRL and IRL situations.

Sadly, that part has come and gone for me, now SPC is a mere fleeting memory in the back of my mind, only once and a while surfacing to say "Hello, my old friend, how are you? We should perhaps spend some time together." And I would simply respond, "No."
