KNT translation

I finished 97% of transcribing the 3rd episode of KNT (Hore hore ana hore motto hore! - the western counterpart is Underground Underwater Undercooked). I don't reach the 100% mark owing to certains words that I was not certain of their meaning, even with repeated careful listening. Boys & girls, you can get this transcription at: http://www.quimica.ufpr.br/~fmatsumo/pizza/. I put text files with following encodings: roomaji (roman alphabet), UTF-8 (Unicode) and Shift JIS Japanese.
This episode was available from Nyanki Fanatics, but it seems that no longer is there. I'll make its available soon, please wait .
I am waiting for all feedback possible, please send your comments, corrections or suggestions. I hope to augment the accuracy of the transcription in this way. You are free to do whatever you want with this files, though I'll take no responsibility for the consequences of its use or abuse. Feel free to download, spread, use and modify it.
I am not claiming that my work is perfect or better than any other projects. Perhaps better transcriptions/translations will appear in the future, but until now I find no work published.
Now I am transcribing de 1st episode of KNT, the progress is near 20%, I think. EDIT: now the progress is more than 50%.

Did Japan have a closed captioning system at the time? If so, if you could secure a japanese VHS/player, you could rip the CC information instead.

But that would be silly, seeing as how we have most of the episodes available through the internet anyways.

I don't know portugese, but is it possible to translate a script using hieroglyphics from Hiragana, Katakana & Kanji?
I mean by using a japanese alphabet of Hiragana & Kanji, also some Romanji to dicipher what each one means.
Ex. Using alphabet, to match each heiroglphic to spell a word such as "Gomen Nasai", meaning "I'm sorry".

I had a go at translating the "KNT Manga" using the same process. But unfortunately, I lost interest in this project.

Supersonic: Until now I got only episodes by Internet, so I haven't see any episode with CC. This could help a lot, but is there anyone with such tapes?

Cartoonking: I don't know much about automatic translation, perhaps could help to give an inicial guess, but needs a fine tuning to improve the accuracy.  There are plenty of colloquial words and expressions in the series, I think that this could difficult such work.

This post is a reply to a controversy generated in another topic, but I think here is the right thread to discuss it.
I finally contacted Tigriss, she was very kind  and exchanged some KNT script files with me. Now I see that at least one episode is complete enough to be subbed.  However it seems that she has no one able to do subbing to her.    I translated the same episode to Portuguese too, I hope to be able to provide fansubbed episode for Brazilian or Portuguese fans as soon as possible.

after seeing the KNT manual scans that Adam gave me, i've decided that i'm going to try and translate the text. it won't be so hard, thanks to the furigana that will give me an idea on what the text says. but, i can't guarantee on when the translation will be complete, as i'm feeling pressure from my summer course. believe me, if there's one summer class you don't want to take, it's trigonometry. 

Pardon, but may I get a copy of those manual scans?

I'd like to give them to a friend so he can finish up the NES script translation. He's finished with it, he just needs context that neither of us can provide.

We deserve some happy news, so I'm here. Tigriss told me that the KNT 02 was subbed in English, and soon will be available.  She told also the next step is to make Portuguese subbing.

Now I'm working in translation of the KNT 01 eps. The Portuguese version is almost done, but in English the progress is somewhat slower. If I worked harder in my English class in the past...

I actually know what they're saying! It's freakin' awesome! The voices, in my opinion, sound better in Japanese when I can put the English words to them.

Hi, Tsuneko, you have done good job in HQ episodes of SPC, congratulations!
I'm glad to see your offer to subbing. I'm working with Tigriss, you must talk with her. You can find her e-address in her profile here.
I am doing the transcription from KNT episode to roman characteres and Japanese charecters; then I translate it to Portuguese, and in English (this is my weakness, the lack of knowledge in English). After all done, I send the files to Tigriss. She seems to be very busy, so I don't know when she'll be able to release the subbed episodes of KNT. Perhaps you can help her. 
I may not forget to mention the kindly help of Violet in this work.   

Present status:
KNT 02-done, but not available yet;
KNT 01-translation done, file sent to Tigriss;
KNT 53-I'm revising the script/translation file from Tigriss, the progress is slower than I should wish;
KNT 30-Violet sent me the Japanese script file, but no work done yet.

Aren't you contacted Tigriss? When she said me that KNT 02 subbing was finished, I thought that you are the subber. 
About KNT 01, I only sent to her a crude attempt to an English translation, but much work must be done on the script for make it with necessary quality.

It seems to have several people involved in translation/subb stuff, but we must find a way to work with coordination. I'll contact Tigriss to discuss this matter.

Just making sure you didn't forget about me. Yes, I'm the subber of KNT episode 2 and I'll gladly sub ep 1 too once the script is done. But there's absolutely no hurry. I know translating is very hard and time-consuming. I really appreciate all of your efforts. My job is rather easy as I just put the script onto the video.

By the way, I can do the Portuguese subbing for you if you want. I just need the script.

There's still a lot of episodes to sub.  Work together, there's plently left to do!  With #2 out of the way, and if you have #1 already started, that leaves 52 more episodes.
